CVE-2026-23933 1 Zabbix 1 Zabbix 2026-08-19 N/A
In Zabbix 7.4 the cryptographic key used for signing Frontend sessions has been erroneously written to the database seed. Currently the only known exploitation scenario is for deployments that utilize both - SAML authentication and guest users. In such cases the key can be used to forge valid session cookies, potentially leading to unauthorized access. For other Zabbix deployments this does not have a known impact.

While the vulnerability is in Oracle Hyperion Infrastructure Technology, attacks may significantly impact additional products (scope change). Successful attacks of this vulnerability can result in unauthorized access to critical data or complete access to all Oracle Hyperion Infrastructure Technology accessible data. CVSS 3.1 Base Score 6.5 (Confidentiality impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:L/AC:L/PR:L/UI:N/S:C/C:H/I:N/A:N).
CVE-2026-55164 1 Netflix 1 Lemur 2026-08-18 4.9 Medium
Lemur manages TLS certificate creation. Prior to 1.9.2, lemur.users.service.update assigned a replacement password directly to users.password, while lemur/users/models.py registered User.hash_password only for the before_insert event. Because no before_update listener ran, administrator-initiated password changes through PUT /api/1/users/ were committed as plaintext. The affected user could no longer authenticate normally because bcrypt verification received an unhashed value. A database, backup, replica, query-log, or administrative read compromise exposed immediately usable credentials without offline cracking. The fix registers hashing for before_update and avoids rehashing values that already have a bcrypt prefix. This issue is fixed in version 1.9.2.
CVE-2026-24183 2026-08-18 7.8 High
NVIDIA Cumulus Linux contains a vulnerability in the user management component, where an unprivileged user could use improper privilege management on the system. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to escalation of privileges.
CVE-2026-47245 1 Mybb 1 Mybb 2026-08-18 4.3 Medium
MyBB is free and open source forum software. Prior to 1.8.40, the User CP Buddy/Ignore List component does not validate reciprocal buddy-list updates correctly. The usercp.php?action=do_editlists delete handler removes the selected entry from the acting user's list and then updates mybb_users.buddylist for the target account. The reciprocal update searches for the deleted target UID instead of the acting user's UID and uses the unchecked array_search() return value as an array key. A false result can be converted to index 0, removing the target account's first stored buddy while leaving the actual reciprocal entry unchanged. The uniquely identifying implementation details include false converted to index 0. This issue is fixed in version 1.8.40.
CVE-2026-72188 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-18 9.1 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ntfs: sanitize MFT references returned from ntfs_lookup_inode_by_name() ntfs_lookup_inode_by_name() returns MFT references read from directory index entries on disk. These values are untrusted, but the function can currently return an error-marked MFT reference to its callers without validating it. Callers later decode lookup failures with MREF_ERR(). A crafted NTFS image can set the MREF error bit while leaving the low bits as an arbitrary value, causing callers to consume a bogus pseudo-errno instead of treating the lookup result as corrupted on-disk metadata. Fix this at the source by normalizing every error-marked MFT reference returned from ntfs_lookup_inode_by_name() to ERR_MREF(-EIO). Apply this to all four directory lookup return paths so every caller gets a validated result without needing additional checks or an API change. This keeps the sanitization in the common lookup helper, which is cleaner than duplicating validation in each caller.

CVE-2026-72041 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-17 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: espintcp: use sk_msg_free_partial to fix partial send sk_msg_free_partial() ensures consistency of the skmsg at every iteration, without having to manually handle uncharges and offsets. This simplifies the code, and fixes some bugs in skmsg accounting when we don't send the full contents.

CVE-2026-64149 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-17 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: dma-mapping: move dma_map_resource() sanity check into debug code dma_map_resource() uses pfn_valid() to ensure the range is not RAM. However, pfn_valid() only checks for availability of the memory map for a PFN but it does not ensure that the PFN is actually backed by RAM. On ARM64 with SPARSEMEM (128MB section granularity), MMIO addresses that share a section with RAM will falsely trigger the WARN_ON_ONCE and cause dma_map_resource() to return DMA_MAPPING_ERROR. This causes a WARNING on Raspberry Pi 4 during spi_bcm2835 probe because the SPI FIFO register (0xfe204004) falls in the same sparsemem section as the end of RAM (0xf8000000-0xfbffffff), both in section 31 (0xf8000000-0xffffffff). Move the sanity check from dma_map_resource() into debug_dma_map_phys() and replace the unreliable pfn_valid() with pfn_valid() && !PageReserved(), which correctly identifies actual usable RAM without false positives for MMIO regions that happen to have struct pages. Since dma_map_resource() is dma_map_phys(DMA_ATTR_MMIO), the check applies equally to both APIs. Any non-reserved page represents kernel memory to a sufficient degree that using DMA_ATTR_MMIO on it is almost certainly wrong and risks breaking coherency on non-coherent platforms. ZONE_DEVICE pages used for PCI P2P DMA (MEMORY_DEVICE_PCI_P2PDMA) have PageReserved set, so they will not trigger a false positive. The check no longer blocks the mapping and uses err_printk() to integrate with dma-debug filtering.
CVE-2026-72477 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-17 9.8 Critical
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: fs/ntfs3: call _ntfs_bad_inode() when failing to rename It is safe to call _ntfs_bad_inode on live inodes since: commit 519b078998ce ("fs/ntfs3: Exclude call make_bad_inode for live nodes.") The WARN_ON was added when it wasn't safe by: commit d99208b91933 ("fs/ntfs3: cancle set bad inode after removing name fails") Replace the WARN_ON with a call to _ntfs_bad_inode() to prevent further operations on the inconsistent inode.
CVE-2026-64153 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-17 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/msm: Fix iommu_map_sgtable() return value check and avoid WARN Commit "iommu: return full error code from iommu_map_sg[_atomic]()" changed iommu_map_sgtable() to return an ssize_t and negative values in error cases, rather than a size_t and a zero. Store the return value in the appropriate type and in case of error, return it rather than WARNing. Patchwork: https://patchwork.freedesktop.org/patch/719685/
CVE-2026-74380 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-17 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: gpu: host1x: Fix iommu_map_sgtable() return value check Commit "iommu: return full error code from iommu_map_sg[_atomic]()" changed iommu_map_sgtable() to return an ssize_t and negative values in error cases, rather than a size_t and a zero. pin_job() also was incorrectly assigning to 'int', which could cause overflows into negative values. Update pin_job() to correctly check for errors from iommu_map_sgtable.
CVE-2026-17110 1 Ibm 1 I 2026-08-17 8.8 High
IBM i 7.6, 7.5, 7.4, and 7.3 could allow a remote authenticated attacker to execute arbitrary commands and obtain sensitive information due to improper privilege management.
CVE-2026-62909 3 Apple, Linux, Microsoft 8 Macos, Linux Kernel, .net and 5 more 2026-08-17 7.8 High
Uncaught exception in .NET allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
CVE-2026-72286 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-17 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: KVM: SEV: Do not allow intra-host migration/mirroring of SNP VMs The intra-host migration/mirroring feature is not fully implemented for SEV-SNP VMs. The proper migration requires additional SNP-specific state such as guest_req_mutex, guest_req_buf, and guest_resp_buf to be transferred or initialized on the destination. The SNP VM mirroring requires vmsa features to be copied as well otherwise ASID would be bound to SNP range while VM is detected as a SEV VM. Reject SNP source VMs in migration/mirroring until proper SNP state transfer is implemented. [sean: let lines poke past 80 chars, tag for stable]
CVE-2026-72027 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-17 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: mm/compaction: handle free_pages_prepare() properly in compaction_free() free_pages_prepare() can fail but compaction_free() does not handle the failure case. Failed pages should not be added back to cc->freepages for future use, since they can be either PageHWPoison or free_page_is_bad() and might cause data corruption.
CVE-2026-72457 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-08-17 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: apparmor: fail policy unpack on accept2 allocation failure unpack_pdb() may need to allocate a missing ACCEPT2 table for older policy data. If that allocation failed, it set an error message but jumped to the success path, returning a policydb with the required table missing. Return -ENOMEM through the normal failure path when the ACCEPT2 allocation fails. Remove the now-unused out label.
