Joomla! Core - [20260801] - Response header injection in download views in Joomla 3.0.0-5.4.7, 6.0.0-6.1.2 - Lack of output processing allowed a header injection in the multiple download views, leading to reflected file download / content-type confusion.
CVE-2026-49756 1 Wojtekmach 1 Req 2026-08-18 3.7 Low
Improper Neutralization of CRLF Sequences ('CRLF Injection') vulnerability in wojtekmach Req allows multipart parameter smuggling via attacker-influenced part metadata. Req.Utils.encode_form_part/2 in lib/req/utils.ex builds the per-part headers by interpolating the caller-supplied name, filename, and content_type values directly into the content-disposition and content-type lines with no escaping or CRLF stripping. A value containing ", \r, or \n closes the surrounding quoted value and starts a new header line; an additional \r\n--<boundary> terminates the current part and prepends a smuggled part of the attacker's choosing. This is reachable through every supported way of supplying a part. It is particularly easy when value is a %File.Stream{}, because filename then defaults to Path.basename(stream.path) and POSIX filenames may legitimately contain \r and \n. Any application that forwards user-controlled filenames (or field names / MIME types) through Req.post/2 with form_multipart: lets an attacker inject arbitrary headers into the outgoing multipart body or smuggle additional fields and parts into the request the victim service sends downstream. This issue affects req: from 0.5.3 before 0.6.0.
CVE-2026-45125 1 Mybb 1 Mybb 2026-08-18 5.3 Medium
MyBB is free and open source forum software. Prior to 1.8.40, the Email User controller does not sanitize sender names correctly, resulting in mail header injection. member.php?action=do_emailuser accepts the fromname HTTP parameter for guests or the stored username for authenticated users when the cansendemail group permission is enabled. When mail_handler is set to the default PHP mail value, the sender name is used without sanitization in Return-Path and Reply-To headers, allowing arbitrary headers to be injected with CRLF sequences. This issue is fixed in version 1.8.40.
CVE-2026-53533 2026-08-18 N/A
aiosmtplib is an asynchronous SMTP client for use with asyncio. Prior to 5.1.1, SMTP.mail(), SMTP.rcpt(), SMTP.vrfy(), and SMTP.expn() send caller-supplied addresses without rejecting embedded CR or LF bytes. Data after the line break is framed as additional standalone SMTP command lines, allowing an attacker who influences an envelope sender or recipient to inject commands such as MAIL FROM, RCPT TO, RSET, DATA, or AUTH. SMTP.sendmail() and SMTP.send() without a Message object pass addresses through the affected methods, while SMTP.send_message() is not affected. Successful injection can desynchronize the command-response pipeline, hang the SMTP instance, or send an arbitrary message without requiring attacker control of the SMTP server. This issue is fixed in version 5.1.1.
CVE-2026-0864 1 Python 2 Cpython, Python 2026-08-18 5.5 Medium
When using the "configparser" module to write configuration files containing multi-line text values with carriage return characters (\r) the resulting file could be injected with unexpected keys and values if the attacker controls the written value.
CVE-2026-16313 1 Redhat 3 Enterprise Linux, Openshift, Openshift Container Platform 2026-08-18 7.6 High
A flaw was found in sg3_utils. The sg_inq command, when invoked with the --export option, outputs device identification data without sanitizing control characters in SCSI name string fields. A newline character embedded in a device-supplied name string can inject arbitrary properties into the udev device database. This could allow an attacker who can present a crafted SCSI device to execute arbitrary commands as root when the device is disconnected.
CVE-2026-43969 1 Ninenines 1 Cowlib 2026-08-18 3.2 Low
Improper Neutralization of CRLF Sequences ('CRLF Injection') vulnerability in ninenines cowlib allows HTTP request splitting and cookie smuggling via unvalidated cookie name and value fields. cow_cookie:cookie/1 in cowlib builds a client-side Cookie: request header from a list of name-value pairs without validating either field. An attacker who controls the cookie names or values passed to this function can inject ;, ,, CR, LF, or TAB characters into the serialized header. This enables two classes of attack: cookie smuggling within a single header (e.g. injecting ; admin=1 to introduce a phantom cookie that the receiving server treats as authentic) and HTTP request header splitting (injecting CRLF to append arbitrary headers or smuggle a complete second request against a shared upstream proxy). The decoder side (parse_cookie_name/1, parse_cookie_value/1) and setcookie/3 already validate and reject these characters; the encoder alone is missing the check. This issue affects cowlib: from 2.9.0 onward.
CVE-2026-67326 3 Gitpython-developers, Gitpython Project, Redhat 3 Gitpython, Gitpython, Hummingbird 2026-08-14 7 High
GitPython before 3.1.50 fails to validate newline characters in the section parameter of config_writer(), allowing attackers to inject arbitrary section headers into .git/config. Attackers can inject newlines to create a forged [core] section with hooksPath pointing to attacker-controlled directories, achieving remote code execution when git hooks are triggered.
CVE-2026-53788 2 Rsync Project, Samba 2 Rsync, Rsync 2026-08-14 6.5 Medium
rsync before 3.5.0 contains a newline injection vulnerability in the name-converter uid/gid mapping interface that allows local attackers to forge protocol messages by creating user or group names containing newline characters. Attackers can inject malicious newline characters into names communicated over the pipe-based line-oriented protocol to cause the rsync daemon to process attacker-influenced data as legitimate protocol input, corrupting uid/gid mapping logic.
CVE-2026-42578 1 Netty 1 Netty 2026-08-13 7.5 High
Netty is an asynchronous, event-driven network application framework. Prior to 4.2.13.Final and 4.1.133.Final, Netty's HttpProxyHandler constructs HTTP CONNECT requests with header validation explicitly disabled. The newInitialMessage() method creates headers using DefaultHttpHeadersFactory.headersFactory().withValidation(false), then adds user-provided outboundHeaders without any CRLF validation. This allows an attacker who can influence the outbound headers to inject arbitrary HTTP headers into the CONNECT request sent to the proxy server. This vulnerability is fixed in 4.2.13.Final and 4.1.133.Final.
CVE-2026-16455 1 Teltonika-networks 2 Rutos, Tswos 2026-08-13 N/A
In Teltonika Networks RUTOS devices running versions 7.07.1 through 7.24.1 and TSWOS devices running versions 1.03 through 1.10, a vulnerability exists whereby a lower privileged user can escalate privileges to administrative level due to unsafe calls to an execl function.
CVE-2020-3561 1 Cisco 3 Adaptive Security Appliance, Adaptive Security Appliance Software, Secure Firewall Threat Defense 2026-08-11 4.7 Medium
A vulnerability in the Clientless SSL VPN (WebVPN) of Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance (ASA) Software and Cisco Firepower Threat Defense (FTD) Software could allow an unauthenticated, remote attacker to inject arbitrary HTTP headers in the responses of the affected system. The vulnerability is due to improper input sanitization. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by persuading a user of the interface to click a crafted link. A successful exploit could allow the attacker to conduct a CRLF injection attack, adding arbitrary HTTP headers in the responses of the system and redirecting the user to arbitrary websites.
CVE-2026-72913 1 Kovidgoyal 1 Kitty 2026-08-11 7.8 High
Kitty is a cross-platform GPU based terminal. Prior to 0.48.2, the @kitty-echo and @kitty-ssh DCS handlers in kitty/window.py write unauthenticated data to the child shell's stdin, where handle_remote_echo accepts printable shell command characters and handle_remote_ssh calls get_ssh_data in kittens/ssh/utils.py, which emits a newline; chaining the handlers can execute attacker-controlled commands when a user displays untrusted terminal data. This issue is fixed in version 0.48.2.
CVE-2026-21075 1 Samsung Mobile 1 My Galaxy 2026-08-11 N/A
Improper authorization in handler for custom URL scheme in My Galaxy prior to version 6.3 allows remote attackers to access sensitive information.
CVE-2026-72590 1 Alseambusher 1 Crontab-ui 2026-08-11 9.8 Critical
An OS command injection vulnerability in alseambusher/crontab-ui through 0.4.2 allows an unauthenticated remote attacker to inject arbitrary cron job entries by sending a crafted GET request to /crontab with URL-encoded newlines in the env_vars parameter.
CVE-2026-0673 2 Bdthemes, Wordpress 2 Element Pack Addons For Elementor, Wordpress 2026-08-11 5.3 Medium
The Element Pack Addons for Elementor plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Email Header Injection in all versions up to, and including, 8.3.15 via the `element_pack_contact_form` AJAX action. This is due to insufficient sanitization of newline characters in user-supplied input that gets concatenated into email headers. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to inject arbitrary email headers into emails sent by the contact form.
CVE-2026-61477 2 Libvirt, Redhat 4 Libvirt, Enterprise Linux, Enterprise Linux For Nvidia 26 and 1 more 2026-08-08 2.3 Low
An injection vulnerability was found in libvirt's virtual network driver. The network XML parser does not strip newline characters from DNS TXT record value attributes and SRV record domain/target attributes. These values are written verbatim into the dnsmasq configuration file generated by the network driver, allowing a user with permission to define virtual networks to inject arbitrary dnsmasq configuration directives such as dhcp-script, leading to arbitrary command execution as root.
CVE-2026-59717 1 Home-assistant 1 Core 2026-08-07 4.3 Medium
Home Assistant is open source home automation software focused on local control and privacy. Prior to 2026.6.1, the Android Companion app is vulnerable to an open redirect. The app passes the URL fragment from a homeassistant://invite deep link into the onboarding flow without ever displaying the destination hostname. Because no screen in the invitation or onboarding flow shows the parsed server URL before onboarding commits to it, a victim has no way to distinguish a legitimate invite from a malicious one. An attacker can craft an invite so that a single tap on the legitimate-looking "Connect to my Home Assistant server" button opens their /auth/authorize endpoint in the URL-less onboarding WebView, presenting a look-alike login page that captures the victim's credentials. Since invitations are intended to onboard brand-new users, targets are especially unlikely to notice the substitution. This issue is fixed in version 2026.6.1.
