CVE-2026-55407 1 Anthropics 1 Buffa 2026-07-23 N/A
Buffa is a pure-Rust Protocol Buffers implementation with first-class protobuf editions support. Prior to 0.8.0, the decode_unknown_field function in buffa's protobuf decoder allocated heap memory in proportion to untrusted input (unknown fields in the serialized protobuf) without enforcing an allocation budget, affecting any message decoded from untrusted input using code generated with preserve_unknown_fields=true (the default); a small, well-formed payload of nested unknown fields inside a StartGroup could trigger roughly 22x memory amplification (for example a 64 MiB input forcing about 1.4 GB of heap allocation), and length-delimited unknown fields could be sized arbitrarily, so an unauthenticated attacker could crash a process through memory exhaustion because the top-level message size cap did not account for in-decode amplification. This issue is fixed in version 0.8.0.
CVE-2026-50273 1 Datadog 1 Dd-trace-dotnet 2026-07-23 7.5 High
Datadog .NET Tracer is a client library for Datadog APM for .NET applications. Prior to 3.43.0, Datadog tracing libraries that implement W3C baggage propagation parse incoming baggage HTTP headers without enforcing DD_TRACE_BAGGAGE_MAX_ITEMS or DD_TRACE_BAGGAGE_MAX_BYTES on extraction, allowing a remote unauthenticated attacker to send a baggage header with many comma-separated key-value pairs or one very large value and cause unbounded CPU and memory consumption in services with baggage propagation enabled. This issue is fixed in version 3.43.0.
CVE-2026-54464 1 Faye 1 Websocket-driver-ruby 2026-07-23 N/A
### Impact If this library is used in tandem with the `permessage-deflate` extension, a WebSocket server or client can be made to accept messages that are larger than the configured maximum message size. This is because this limit is checked against the message frames' length headers, which give the size of the compressed data, not the size after decompression. This can lead to applications accepting larger messages than expected and exceeding their intended resource usage. ### Patches The issue has been patched in version 0.8.1, by checking the length of messages after they are processed by incoming extensions. All users should upgrade to this version. ### Workarounds No known workarounds exist. ### Acknowledgements This issue was discovered and reported by Pranjali Thakur, DepthFirst Security Research Team.
CVE-2026-54463 1 Faye 2 Websocket-driver, Websocket-driver-ruby 2026-07-23 7.5 High
websocket-driver is a WebSocket protocol handler with pluggable I/O. Prior to 0.8.1, draft versions of the WebSocket protocol in websocket-driver include a length header that allows an arbitrarily large integer to be encoded as bytes with the high bit set, and a server or client can send an indefinite sequence of 0x80 or higher bytes that the peer parses into an ever-growing Ruby integer. This can make a WebSocket connection consume an unbounded amount of memory and lead to the host process running out of memory. This issue is fixed in version 0.8.1.
CVE-2026-54465 1 Faye 2 Websocket-driver, Websocket-driver-ruby 2026-07-23 7.5 High
websocket-driver is a WebSocket protocol handler with pluggable I/O. Prior to 0.8.1, when websocket-driver is used to implement a WebSocket server on top of a TCP server using WebSocket::Driver.server() or to complement a WebSocket client, a peer can make a single connection consume an unbounded amount of memory by sending an HTTP request or response with a never-ending list of headers. This can lead to the receiving process running out of memory. This issue is fixed in version 0.8.1.
CVE-2026-54490 1 Faye 1 Websocket-driver-node 2026-07-23 N/A
websocket-driver is a WebSocket protocol handler with pluggable I/O. Prior to 0.7.5, if this library is used with the permessage-deflate extension, a WebSocket server or client can be made to accept messages that are larger than the configured maximum message size because the limit is checked against the message frames' length headers, which give the size of the compressed data, not the size after decompression in lib/websocket/driver/hybi.js. This can lead to applications accepting larger messages than expected and exceeding their intended resource usage. This issue is fixed in version 0.7.5.
CVE-2026-15957 2 Amazon, Aws 2 Aws-sdk-rust, Aws-sdk-rust 2026-07-23 7.5 High
Smithy-RS is a Rust code generation and runtime framework that generates HTTP clients and servers from Smithy interface definitions, powering the AWS SDK for Rust and custom service implementations. Uncontrolled recursion in the JSON, CBOR, and XML deserializer functions emitted by Amazon smithy-rs code generation could allow remote attackers to cause a denial of service (process abort via stack exhaustion) via a small request containing deeply nested data for a recursive model shape to a generated SDK or server. To mitigate this issue, users should upgrade to aws-sdk-rust release-2026-06-02 or later. Users building custom servers with smithy-rs codegen should regenerate from smithy-rs release-2026-06-01 or later.

CVSS 3.1 Base Score 4.4 (Availability impacts). CVSS Vector: (CVSS:3.1/AV:N/AC:H/PR:H/UI:N/S:U/C:N/I:N/A:H).
CVE-2026-11622 1 Isc 1 Bind 2026-07-23 7.5 High
A DNSSEC validating resolver that is under a random subdomain attack against a DNSSEC-signed zone can suffer from runaway memory usage. The attacker needs to be able to send queries faster than the resolver can perform validation. The increased memory usage can be orders of magnitude beyond the limit configured in the `max-cache-size` parameter. This issue affects BIND 9 versions 9.11.0 through 9.18.50, 9.20.0 through 9.20.24, 9.21.0 through 9.21.23, 9.11.3-S1 through 9.18.50-S1, and 9.20.9-S1 through 9.20.24-S1.
CVE-2026-42397 1 Elastic 1 Kibana 2026-07-23 6.5 Medium
Allocation of Resources Without Limits or Throttling (CWE-770) in Kibana can lead to a denial of service via Excessive Allocation (CAPEC-130). An authenticated user can submit a specially crafted request to affected Entity Analytics endpoints containing an oversized input value that causes excessive resource consumption, which may render Kibana unavailable.
CVE-2026-59204 2 Python, Python-pillow 2 Pillow, Pillow 2026-07-21 7.5 High
Pillow is a Python imaging library. From 8.2.0 through 12.2.0, src/libImaging/Jpeg2KDecode.c accumulates total_component_width across every tile in a JPEG2000 image instead of recomputing it per tile, allowing a crafted tiled JPEG2000 file to force substantially higher transient memory usage and trigger out-of-memory failures during decoding. This issue is fixed in version 12.3.0.
CVE-2026-53596 1 Freescout Helpdesk 1 Freescout 2026-07-21 5.3 Medium
FreeScout is a free help desk and shared inbox built with PHP's Laravel framework. Prior to version 1.8.224, the FreeScout helpdesk application does not enforce rate limiting on the file upload endpoint. Any user can flood the server with upload requests, leading to database overload and potential denial of service for all users. Version 1.8.224 contains a fix.
CVE-2026-45712 1 Axllent 1 Mailpit 2026-07-20 5.9 Medium
Mailpit is an email testing tool and API for developers. Prior to version 1.30.0, the screenshot/print proxy (/proxy?data=…) maintains a package-level assets map[string]MessageAssets cache, but reads the map without holding assetsMutex while a long-running cleanup goroutine and (re-entrant) CSS-rewriting code path concurrently write to it under the lock. When the unsynchronized read coincides with a synchronized write, Go's runtime raises fatal error: concurrent map read and map write — a runtime.throw that is not recoverable by http.Server's handler-panic recover. The whole Mailpit process exits, taking the SMTP, POP3 and HTTP listeners down with it. Version 1.30.0 contains a patch.
CVE-2026-45713 1 Axllent 1 Mailpit 2026-07-20 7.5 High
Mailpit is an email testing tool and API for developers. Prior to version 1.30.0, the Mailpit SMTP server has a Server.MaxSize int field that controls the maximum allowed DATA payload size, but the field is never assigned anywhere outside test code, leaving it at Go's zero value (0 ⇒ "no limit"). The same applies to the HTTP /api/v1/send endpoint, whose request body is decoded with json.NewDecoder(r.Body) and no http.MaxBytesReader. Because Mailpit's default listeners bind [::]:1025 (SMTP) and [::]:8025 (HTTP), with no authentication required on either, a single network-reachable attacker can push an arbitrarily large message into Mailpit and watch RAM consumption spike with a ~7-10× amplification factor (raw frame → enmime envelope tree → search-text index → zstd-encoded write to SQLite). Repeating the attack — or running it concurrently from multiple connections — drives the process to OOM-kill. Version 1.30.0 contains a patch.
CVE-2026-48824 1 Axllent 1 Mailpit 2026-07-20 5.3 Medium
Mailpit is an email testing tool and API for developers. Prior to version 1.30.1, the fix for GHSA-fpxj-m5q8-fphw (CVE-2026-45710, "Mailpit: Set a default 50MB p/m limit to prevent DoS via unlimited SMTP DATA and /api/v1/send body sizes") wrapped only `POST /api/v1/send` with `http.MaxBytesReader`. The four other Mailpit JSON-body API endpoints `PUT /api/v1/messages` (SetReadStatus), `DELETE /api/v1/messages` (DeleteMessages), `PUT /api/v1/tags` (SetMessageTags), and `POST /api/v1/message/{id}/release` (ReleaseMessage) still call `json.NewDecoder(r.Body)` directly with no body-size cap and remain reachable unauthenticated in the default `docker run axllent/mailpit:latest` deploy. An unauthenticated remote attacker can post a multi-million-element `IDs` slice and drive RSS from ~25 MiB baseline to ~450 MiB per 16 MB request body. Repeating across multiple connections accumulates the same per-request amplification per process. Version 1.30.1 contains a patch.
CVE-2026-57080 1 Sanko 1 Net::bittorrent 2026-07-20 7.5 High
Net::BitTorrent versions through 2.1.0 for Perl allow remote memory exhaustion via an uncapped peer-wire message-length prefix. The peer-wire framing in _process_messages trusts the 4-byte length prefix sent by a connected peer with no upper bound, while receive_data appends every inbound byte to the input buffer. A peer announces a length prefix of up to about 4 GiB and then streams bytes; the decoder waits until the buffer holds the full message before processing it, so the buffer grows without limit. Peer connections are unauthenticated, so any peer in the swarm exhausts the downloading process's memory. The largest legitimate message is a 16 KiB piece block, so any announced length far above that is anomalous.
CVE-2026-63834 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-07-19 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: batman-adv: tp_meter: restrict number of unacked list entries When the unacked_list is unbound, an attacker could send messages with small lengths and appropriated seqno + gaps to force the receiver to allocate more and more unacked_list entries. And the end either causing an out-of-memory situation or increase the management overhead for the (large) list that significant portions of CPU cycles are wasted in searching through the list. When limiting the list to a specific number, it is important to still correctly add a new entry to the list. But if the list became larger than the limit, the last entry of the list (with the highest seqno) must be dropped to still allow the earlier seqnos to finish and therefore to continue the process. Otherwise, the process might get stuck with too high seqnos which are not handled by batadv_tp_ack_unordered().
CVE-2026-56170 4 Apple, Linux, Microsoft and 1 more 5 Macos, Linux Kernel, .net and 2 more 2026-07-17 7.5 High
Allocation of resources without limits or throttling in ASP.NET Core allows an unauthorized attacker to deny service over a network.
