CVSS v3.1 |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
uio: Fix stale info pointer in failed registration path
After device_add(), the UIO device is visible to userspace and /dev/uioX
can be opened. If a later setup step fails, __uio_register_device()
unwinds the device but leaves idev->info pointing at the caller-owned
struct uio_info.
That is unsafe when an opener races with the failed registration path.
The open file keeps a reference to the uio_device, while the caller sees
registration failure and may free its struct uio_info. Later file
operations can then follow idev->info and dereference freed memory.
Handle post-device_add() failures like unregister: remove UIO attributes
while the info pointer is still valid, then clear idev->info under
info_lock and wake existing waiters/async users before removing the
device and minor. This makes already-open file descriptors observe the
same "device gone" state as normal uio_unregister_device(). |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Mark tracing_multi trampolines as ftrace managed
Since tracing_multi link does not set ftrace_managed, it would fail to
release the tracing_multi link when attaching tracing_multi link and
then attaching fentry link.
[ 3.714215] WARNING: kernel/bpf/trampoline.c:1727 at bpf_trampoline_multi_detach+0x20b/0x240, CPU#1: test_progs/97

[ 3.733890] bpf_link_free+0x58/0x130
[ 3.734414] bpf_link_release+0x23/0x30
Fix it by setting 'ftrace_managed = true' in register_fentry_multi(). |
| Suricata is a network Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System and Network Security Monitoring engine. From 8.0.0 until 8.0.6, the SMTP MIME parser in rust/src/mime/smtp.rs does not fully reset state when processing Content-Type: message/rfc822 encapsulation. An outer MIME part's encoding or filename state can leak into the inner message, allowing crafted mail to evade detections based on file.data, file.name, or extracted URLs when SMTP MIME decoding is enabled. This issue is fixed in version 8.0.6. |
| Suricata is a network Intrusion Detection System, Intrusion Prevention System and Network Security Monitoring engine. Prior to 7.0.17 and 8.0.6, the SMB parser can retain force-completed transactions on flows where Suricata sees payload in only one direction, including async-oneside flows, because cleanup waits for inspection in the unseen direction. The transaction creation paths in rust/src/smb can exceed the intended SMB_MAX_TX bound, and cleanup repeatedly scans the growing list. Sustained one-directional SMB traffic can therefore cause unbounded per-flow state and CPU and memory exhaustion. This issue is fixed in versions 8.0.6 and 7.0.17. |
| The WP Photo Album Plus plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution in all versions via the wppa_image_magick function. This is due to insufficient sanitization of the multipart upload filename before concatenation into an ImageMagick command string executed via exec(), with only escapeshellcmd() applied to the whole command rather than quoting individual arguments. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above, to execute code on the server. escapeshellcmd() escapes shell metacharacters but does not prevent argument injection because spaces remain as argument separators, and the filename sanitization applied at the database layer is never applied to the physical temporary file path used for ImageMagick processing. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nfc: llcp: read llcp_sock->local under the socket lock in getsockopt
nfc_llcp_getsockopt() read llcp_sock->local before lock_sock(sk) and
then dereferenced the cached pointer inside the locked region.
llcp_sock_bind() assigns and clears llcp_sock->local under the same
socket lock, dropping the last reference on its error path. A
getsockopt() racing an in-flight bind() can observe the pointer, block
on lock_sock(), and then dereference a freed nfc_llcp_local once bind()
has unwound.
Move the llcp_sock->local read and the NULL check inside the
lock_sock(sk) region so bind() cannot mutate or free the pointer between
the load and the use. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
drm/amd/display: Resize MST HDCP per-connector arrays to 32
AMDGPU_DM_MAX_DISPLAY_INDEX is 31. It suggest a maximum number of
32 connectors. But the way it's used is like MAX_DISPLAY_COUNT.
Hence we're off by one with DRM core, which supports a max of 32
connectors.
Rename AMDGPU_DM_MAX_DISPLAY_INDEX to AMDGPU_DM_MAX_DISPLAY_COUNT
to match its actual use, and increase the size to 32 to match the
originally intended size. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
bpf: Fix potential UAF when reading bpf link info
In bpf_link_show_fdinfo and bpf_link_get_info_by_fd, link->prog is
accessed without holding any locks. If the prog is concurrently replaced
via bpf_link_update, the old prog can be freed, leading to a potential
UAF issue.
Fix this by accessing link->prog under RCU protection to safely fetch
the pointer and guarantee its lifetime while reading its fields. |
| The Better Messages – Chat Rooms, Group Chat, Private Messages & AI Chat Bots plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Information Exposure by Spoofing in all versions up to, and including, 2.15.33. This is due to the `is_ai_bot_user()` function identifying privileged internal AI bot accounts by performing a prefix check for `'ai-chat-bot-'` against a guest record's stored IP address, which is populated verbatim from the client-controlled `X-Real-IP` request header during unauthenticated guest registration. This makes it possible for unauthenticated attackers to register a guest identity that the plugin treats as its own internal AI bot, bypassing the per-room role allowlist, draft-status check, and join filters — which are all short-circuited by the bot check in `user_can_join()` and `user_can_read()` — to join administrator-restricted chat rooms, post messages into them, and read the private message history of other users. |
