CVE-2026-93799 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-01 8.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mvm: validate sta_id in BA window status notif BA_WINDOW_STATUS_NOTIFICATION_ID extracts a 5-bit sta_id from the firmware notification and uses it to index fw_id_to_mac_id[] without bounds checking. Validate sta_id before array access to prevent out-of-bounds indexing.
CVE-2026-93816 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-01 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: f2fs: validate inline dentry name lengths before conversion Inline dentry conversion copies names out of the inline dentry area before checking that each recorded name length fits in the available filename slots. A corrupted image can therefore make the conversion path read past the inline filename storage while building the regular dentry block. Validate each inline dentry name length against the inline filename area before copying it.
CVE-2026-101204 1 Faststone 1 Image Viewer 2026-10-01 6.3 Medium
A vulnerability was found in FastStone Image Viewer up to 8.3. This affects an unknown function of the file FSViewer.exe of the component TGA Image Handler. The manipulation results in out-of-bounds read. The attack can be launched remotely. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way.
CVE-2026-97423 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cxl/region: Validate partition index before array access construct_region() reads cxled->part and uses it to index cxlds->part[] without checking for a negative value. If the partition was never resolved, part remains at its initial value of -1, causing an out-of-bounds array access. Add a guard to return -EBUSY when part is negative. The check was dropped during a merge.
CVE-2026-103678 1 Verdammelt 1 Tnef 2026-10-01 5.4 Medium
A flaw was found in tnef. An attacker can exploit this vulnerability by providing a specially crafted file containing uncompressed Rich Text Format (RTF) data. Because the application fails to properly validate input buffer boundaries before copying data in get_rtf_data_from_buf(), reading beyond the allocated memory occurs. This flaw can cause the application to crash, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS), or leak sensitive memory contents into extracted output files.
CVE-2026-97441 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ata: ahci: fail probe if BAR too small for claimed ports When an AHCI controller is disabled in BIOS, its HOST_CAP register may contain a bogus value, e.g. 0xFFFFFFFF. Since CAP.NP (Number of Ports) is a zeroes based 5-bit register field, a value of 0x1f means 32 ports. If CAP.NP claims more ports than can physically fit within the mapped BAR region, accessing port registers beyond the BAR boundary causes a kernel panic. Add validation in ahci_init_one() to check that the BAR size is sufficient for the number of ports claimed in CAP.NP. The check calculates the required MMIO size as: required_size = 0x100 (global registers) + max_ports * 0x80 If required_size exceeds the actual BAR size, the probe fails with -ENODEV, preventing the panic and providing a clear error message. CVE-2026-97456 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ACPICA: Fix condition check in acpi_ps_parse_loop() Fix condition check for AML_ELSE_OP in acpi_ps_parse_loop() to prevent out-of-bounds access.
CVE-2026-102717 1 Eclipse 1 Threadx Netx Duo 2026-10-01 7.5 High
MQTT WebSocket setter ABI mismatch may disclose memory or cause a crash
CVE-2026-77219 1 Gnu 1 Emacs 2026-10-01 7.1 High
GNU Emacs before 31.0.91 contains an integer overflow in the PBM/PPM/PGM image loader that allows an attacker to leak heap memory contents by supplying a crafted image with large dimensions and an elevated max color index. The image loader multiplies image dimensions and channel count using signed integer arithmetic; for sufficiently large values, the result wraps to a negative number, bypassing the bounds check and causing the pixel reader to access heap memory past the end of the allocated buffer. The over-read contents are interpreted as pixel color values and rendered on screen.
CVE-2026-76641 2 Libexpat, Libexpat Project 2 Expat, Libexpat 2026-10-01 7.5 High
Expat through 2.8.3 contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability that allows attackers to trigger memory corruption by processing XML with external entity parsers created via XML_ExternalEntityParserCreate. A struct size mismatch between ELEMENT_TYPE members causes storeAtts to read the attIndex member past allocated memory boundaries, resulting in failure to normalize whitespace in non-CDATA attributes or a wild pointer dereference causing a segfault. This vulnerability was introduced by the fix for CVE-2026-66046.
CVE-2026-56719 1 Mikrotik 1 Routeros 2026-10-01 6.5 Medium
MikroTik RouterOS before 7.24 contains an out-of-bounds read vulnerability in the userspace SMB daemon that allows unauthenticated attackers to read beyond the end of the request buffer by supplying a crafted uniPwdLen field value in a minimal SMB1 SessionSetupAndX frame. The out-of-bounds read occurs in the SessionSetupAndX handler before any credential validation, potentially exposing sensitive memory contents.
CVE-2026-102507 1 Bishopfox 1 Sliver 2026-10-01 5.7 Medium
Sliver C2 framework version 1.7.7 and earlier contains an unhandled panic vulnerability in the operator gRPC handler that allows an attacker controlling a compromised implant to crash the entire teamserver by returning a malformed or empty Download response. Attackers can send zero-length or 1-3 byte data payloads through a hostile implant session to trigger an out-of-bounds slice access in the vendored Binject library's BinaryMagic function, which propagates unrecovered through the operator gRPC interceptor chain and terminates the server process, affecting all connected operators.
CVE-2026-47512 1 Nvidia 5 Geforce, Nvs, Quadro and 2 more 2026-10-01 7.8 High
NVIDIA GPU Display Driver for Windows and Linux contains a vulnerability in the kernel mode layer, where a user could cause an out-of-bounds read leading to kernel information disclosure. A successful exploit of this vulnerability might lead to code execution, denial of service, escalation of privileges, information disclosure, and data tampering.
CVE-2026-69549 1 Microsoft 18 Windows 10 1809, Windows 10 21h2, Windows 10 21h2 and 15 more 2026-10-01 7 High
Out-of-bounds read in Virtual Hard Disk (VHD) Miniport Driver allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally.
CVE-2026-97511 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: avoid out-of-bounds access in monitor In NAN, we don't know on what band the frame will be sent. Therefore we set info->band to NUM_NL80211_BANDS. However, this leads to out-of-bound access in ieee80211_add_tx_radiotap_header when we try to access the sbands array. Fix it by not accessing the array if the band is NUM_NL80211_BANDS. This means that we will not report rate info for legacy rate in NAN. But nobody really cares about it.
CVE-2026-97496 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-01 7.1 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdkfd: Fix OOB memory exposure in get_wave_state() The get_wave_state() function for v9 trusts cp_hqd_cntl_stack_size and cp_hqd_cntl_stack_offset values read directly from the MQD, which are written by GPU microcode and fully attacker-controlled on the CRIU-restore path (via AMDKFD_IOC_RESTORE_PROCESS with H3). this leads to an unbounded copy_to_user() that can leak adjacent GTT/kernel memory. If offset > size, integer underflow produces a ~4 GiB read length, if size is set to 1 MiB against a 4 KiB allocation, we leak 1 MiB of adjacent kernel memory (other queues' MQDs, ring buffers, KASLR pointers). Fix by clamping both cp_hqd_cntl_stack_size to the actual allocated buffer size (q->ctl_stack_size) and cp_hqd_cntl_stack_offset to the clamped size before performing arithmetic and copy_to_user(). This ensures we never read beyond the allocated kernel BO regardless of attacker-supplied MQD field values.
CVE-2026-97576 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-01 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: v4l2-ctrls: validate HEVC tile counts The stateless HEVC decoders read num_tile_columns_minus1 + 1 entries from column_width_minus1[] and num_tile_rows_minus1 + 1 from row_height_minus1[] and use them as tile-loop bounds, but std_validate_compound() does not bound these u8 counts. Reject a V4L2_CTRL_TYPE_HEVC_PPS with tiling enabled whose tile counts exceed the uAPI array capacity, mirroring the existing compound-control range checks.
CVE-2026-97529 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: qla2xxx: Validate BSG request_len before reading vendor_cmd[] The FC BSG transport allocates job->request via memdup_user() using the exact user-supplied request_len. For FC_BSG_HST_VENDOR, fc_bsg_host_dispatch() only guarantees request_len covers msgcode and vendor_id; it does not account for the vendor_cmd[] flexible array. qla2xxx then reads the command selector vendor_cmd[0] and, in several sub-handlers, vendor_cmd[1]/[2] or structures overlaid on the vendor command area without verifying request_len. A caller holding CAP_SYS_RAWIO can submit a short request whose vendor_id matches the host, triggering out-of-bounds heap reads (KASAN-detectable, and able to mis-select a command or panic). Add a central guard in qla2x00_process_vendor_specific() so the selector is always in bounds, restrict the early vendor_cmd[0] read in qla24xx_bsg_request() to sufficiently long vendor messages, and add request_len checks to the sub-handlers that read further: qla24xx_proc_fcp_prio_cfg_cmd(), qla2x00_process_loopback(), qla84xx_reset(), qla84xx_updatefw(), qla2x00_read_optrom(), qla2x00_update_optrom(), qlafx00_mgmt_cmd() and qla28xx_validate_flash_image().
CVE-2026-97563 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-01 7.0 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: reject out-of-bounds DataOffset in CIFSSMBRead() The SMB1 synchronous read helper CIFSSMBRead() validates the server's DataLength against CIFSMaxBufSize and the caller's count, but never validates DataOffset. The copy source is formed as &pSMBr->hdr.Protocol + le16_to_cpu(pSMBr->DataOffset) and memcpy()'d for DataLength bytes with no check that the [DataOffset, DataOffset + DataLength) range lies within the response actually received from the server. A malicious or compromised SMB1 server can return a response carrying an in-range DataLength and a large DataOffset, driving the source pointer past the end of the response buffer. The memcpy() then copies adjacent kernel heap into the caller's read buffer (information disclosure), or reads unmapped memory and oopses (denial of service). SMB1 is not negotiated by default; reaching this code requires an explicit vers=1.0 mount. Both DataOffset and the received response length recorded in rsp_iov.iov_len are relative to the start of the SMB header, so reject the response unless DataOffset + DataLength fits within that length, using overflow-safe arithmetic, before forming the source pointer. The response length has been validated by the previous patch, so the DataOffset and DataLength fields can be read safely here. While here, make data_length unsigned. It holds a length derived from unsigned on-the-wire fields and is only ever compared against unsigned quantities; print it with %u accordingly, and add __func__ to the cifs_dbg() calls in this function.
CVE-2026-97565 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb: client: reject short READ responses in CIFSSMBRead() CIFSSMBRead() reads DataLengthHigh, DataLength and DataOffset out of the READ_RSP returned by the server without first checking that a whole READ_RSP was actually received. The length of the response is recorded in rsp_iov.iov_len, but nothing constrains it to be at least read_rsp_size before those fields are dereferenced. A malicious or compromised SMB1 server can return a response shorter than the READ_RSP header, so that parsing the header itself reads past the end of the receive buffer. SMB1 is not negotiated by default; reaching this code requires an explicit vers=1.0 mount. Reject the response unless it is at least read_rsp_size bytes long.
