CVSS v3.1 |
| The MemberPress Corporate Accounts plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in versions up to, and including, 1.5.39. This is due to a mass assignment vulnerability in the 'add_sub_account_user' function that passes the raw 'userdata' array to 'wp_insert_user' without filtering dangerous keys like role or ID. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with subscriber-level access and above who hold a corporate account, to create new administrator accounts or hijack existing administrator accounts by overwriting their email addresses. The vulnerability was partially patched in version 1.5.39. |
| A weakness has been identified in Rizwan17 inventory-management-system up to bfe78a330d01bb26b9daec5dc9ecd5c77900e03f. Affected by this vulnerability is the function createUserAccount of the file register.php of the component Registration Handler. Executing a manipulation of the argument usertype can lead to improper authorization. It is possible to launch the attack remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. This product takes the approach of rolling releases to provide continious delivery. Therefore, version details for affected and updated releases are not available. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. |
| A vulnerability was identified in jaychouchannel Tourism-Management-System up to 229956e20dbd4a80eeff14535e44d3099502af09. The affected element is an unknown function of the file travel/src/main/java/com/controller/UsersController.java of the component User Register Endpoint. Such manipulation of the argument UsersEntity leads to improper privilege management. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. This product does not use versioning. This is why information about affected and unaffected releases are unavailable. The name of the patch is 84d8ec384f669df3985293dab293bb7b477efa64. Applying a patch is advised to resolve this issue. |
| A security flaw has been discovered in PHPGurukul Bank Locker Management System 1.0. This impacts an unknown function of the file sidebar.php. The manipulation of the argument UserType results in improper access controls. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been released to the public and may be used for attacks. |
| A vulnerability was identified in vvbbnn00 WARP-Clash-API up to c7bf2360073959861219b422e51ae86411051b46. Affected is the function get_surge_subscription of the file services/subscription.py of the component Subscription Handler. Such manipulation of the argument key leads to improper access controls. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. This product operates on a rolling release basis, ensuring continuous delivery. Consequently, there are no version details for either affected or updated releases. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. This vulnerability only affects products that are no longer supported by the maintainer. |
| A vulnerability was found in Xuxueli xxl-job up to 3.4.2. Affected by this issue is some unknown functionality of the file xxl-job-admin/src/main/java/com/xxl/job/admin/business/controller/JobGroupController.java. The manipulation results in improper privilege management. The attack may be launched remotely. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The vendor was contacted early about this disclosure but did not respond in any way. |
| In checkReadPermission of PermissionsManager.java, there is a possible way to monitor sensitive device state data due to a missing permission check. This could lead to local information disclosure with no additional execution privileges needed. User interaction is not needed for exploitation. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
nfsd: gate nfs2 setacl by argp->mask
The NFSACL v2 SETACL path shares the decoder convention used by its
v3 sibling: nfsaclsvc_decode_setaclargs() fills in argp->acl_access
only when NFS_ACL is set in the request mask and argp->acl_default
only when NFS_DFACL is set, leaving the other pointer NULL because
the argument buffer is zeroed up to pc_argzero before decode.
nfsacld_proc_setacl() then hands both pointers to set_posix_acl()
unconditionally. set_posix_acl(idmap, dentry, type, NULL) is the VFS
"remove this ACL type" operation, so an omitted arm is
indistinguishable from an explicit request to delete that ACL. A
SETACL carrying only NFS_ACL silently strips the directory's default
ACL; mask=0 strips both.
This is the same defect just fixed in nfsd3_proc_setacl(); apply the
same remedy. Gate each set_posix_acl() call on its mask bit and
initialize error to 0 so that a request with neither bit set leaves
the on-disk ACLs untouched and returns success. The out_drop_lock
path and the unconditional posix_acl_release() in
nfsaclsvc_release_setacl() already tolerate the skipped arms. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
ksmbd: fix FSCTL permission bypass by adding a permission check for FSCTL_SET_SPARSE
FSCTL_SET_SPARSE in fsctl_set_sparse() modifies the file's sparse
attribute and saves it through xattr without any permission checks.
This exposes two issues:
1) A client on a read-only share can change the sparse attribute
on files it opened, even though the share is read-only.
Other FSCTL write operations already check
test_tree_conn_flag(work->tcon, KSMBD_TREE_CONN_FLAG_WRITABLE),
but FSCTL_SET_SPARSE does not.
2) Even on writable shares, clients without FILE_WRITE_DATA or
FILE_WRITE_ATTRIBUTES access should not modify the sparse
attribute. Similar handle-level checks exist in other functions
but are missing here.
Add both share-level writable check and per-handle access check.
Use goto out on error to avoid leaking file references. |
| Parallels Desktop runs prl_disp_service as root. Local clients reach it on the world-writable socket /var/run/prl_disp_service.socket. PrlSrv_LoginLocal accepts peer credentials. No Parallels signature. No admin group.
After login, PrlSrv_InstallAppliance lets you pick the appliance folder (sVmParentPath). The daemon unpacks with one string, tar -xf "%1" -C "%2", then Qt QProcess::splitCommand chops that string into words. A quote in the folder name closes early. The leftover text becomes extra tar flags. macOS tar --use-compress-program= runs the named program as root. |
| A local privilege escalation vulnerability in the Logitech Logi Options+ updater service on Windows allows a low-privileged local user to execute arbitrary code as SYSTEM. |
| The User Registration & Membership WordPress plugin before 5.2.8 does not properly restrict who may author a membership plan or validate the plan a user attaches to their own account, allowing authenticated users with Author-level access and above to assign themselves an arbitrary role and escalate their privileges to Administrator. |
| The User Registration & Membership WordPress plugin before 5.2.8 does not check the capability of the user making a membership purchase, and does not validate the payment method or the plan submitted with it, allowing any authenticated user such as a subscriber to be granted the WordPress role attached to a paid plan without paying for it. Where the site owner has mapped a plan to a privileged role, this leads to privilege escalation up to administrator. |
| The FireBox – WooCommerce Popup Builder, Exit Intent Popup, Email Optin & Cart Abandonment plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Remote Code Execution in all versions up to, and including, 3.1.10 via the value function. This is due to a trivially bypassable regex blacklist in Executer::allowedToRun() that fails to block WordPress core functions such as wp_insert_user, update_option, and file_put_contents, combined with no sanitization of PHP condition rule values stored via the firebox_meta REST endpoint. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers, with author-level access and above, to execute code on the server. On sites upgraded from a version prior to 3.1.10, the Migrator::preserveCampaignRoleAccess() function automatically grants the edit_fireboxes and publish_fireboxes capabilities to the Author role, lowering the effective entry point to Author-level access. |
| The PublishPress Capabilities – User Role Editor, Access Permissions, User Capabilities, Admin Menus plugin for WordPress is vulnerable to Privilege Escalation in all versions up to, and including, 2.50.0. This is due to the `addPluginCapabilities()` function unconditionally granting the Editor role all 15 `manage_capabilities_*` capabilities — including `manage_capabilities`, `manage_capabilities_roles`, `manage_capabilities_settings`, and `manage_capabilities_backup` — via a hard-coded `$eligible_roles = ['administrator', 'editor']` assignment that runs automatically on the first `admin_init` after plugin activation with no administrator opt-in, persisting the grants directly to the database. This makes it possible for authenticated attackers with Editor-level access to elevate their privileges to a site-wide capability manager, enabling them to create, rename, and delete non-system roles, modify capabilities of non-administrator roles, restore role backups, and write arbitrary plugin options whose names begin with `cme_`, `capsman`, `pp_capabilities`, or `presspermit` via `update_option()`. The escalation stops short of full Administrator access, as WordPress's `map_meta_cap` layer still prevents the escalated Editor from granting administrator-only capabilities to other roles; however, all role-management and plugin-settings functionality gated solely on `manage_capabilities_*` capabilities remains fully accessible. |
| Improper Privilege Management vulnerability in ESET AV Remover (standalone) allows Privilege Escalation via especially crafted RPC. |
| Unauthenticated Privilege Escalation in SiteSkite <= 2.1.5 versions. |
| Subscriber Privilege Escalation in Gato GraphQL <= 19.2.3 versions. |
| Subscriber Privilege Escalation in SMS Alert Order Notifications <= 3.9.9 versions. |
| capgo.app (npm package `capgo`) through version 12.207.1 does not compare the caller's role rank against the requested role in the validateInvite() function of supabase/functions/_backend/private/invite_new_user_to_org.ts. The POST /private/invite_new_user_to_org endpoint only requires the org.update_user_roles permission for org_super_admin invitations, so an authenticated user holding only the org.invite_user permission (e.g., an org_member) can invite an external user as org_admin or org_billing_admin. When the invited account accepts the invitation via POST /private/accept_invitation, ensureOrgMembership creates the role binding using the Supabase service-role key, which bypasses the prevent_role_binding_priority_escalation and check_org_user_privileges database triggers. This allows privilege escalation resulting in full administrative control over the organization's apps, channels, members, and billing. The issue is addressed by pull request #3096, which compares the inviter's rank before permitting elevated invitations. |
