CVSS v3.1 |
| A vulnerability was identified in Freedesktop Poppler up to 26.08.0. Affected is the function SplashClip::clipToPath of the file splash/SplashClip.cc. Such manipulation leads to integer overflow. The attack can only be performed from a local environment. The exploit is publicly available and might be used. Upgrading to version 26.09.0 is able to address this issue. The name of the patch is 323c91036d99926a8b90dc14329f7b40aece22f8. It is recommended to upgrade the affected component. |
| Integer underflow (wrap or wraparound) in Microsoft Standard XPS allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges locally. |
| Heap-based buffer overflow in Microsoft Standard XPS allows an authorized attacker to elevate privileges over a network. |
| An integer underflow vulnerability in the WatchGuard Fireware OS IKE daemon (iked) allows a remote attacker who has completed the initial IKEv2 handshake to crash the iked process by sending a specially crafted encrypted IKEv2 message, resulting in a denial of service. |
| An integer underflow vulnerability in the WatchGuard Fireware OS IKEv2 daemon (iked) allows a remote, unauthenticated attacker to crash the process by sending a specially crafted encrypted IKEv2 message negotiated with an AES-GCM cipher suite. |
| Integer Overflow, Improper Validation of Array Index, Uncontrolled Recursion and Memory Allocation with Excessive Size Value in the Go implementation of Apache PLC4X (PLC4Go) allow a malicious device, or an attacker able to inject network traffic, to crash or exhaust the memory of the client application,
causing a denial of service.
The individual defects are:
- Generated parsers pre-allocate arrays with the element count claimed on the wire (0.13.0 through 0.13.1).
- Transport read helpers allocate buffers of the size claimed on the wire without an upper bound.
- ADS and KNXnet/IP response handling indexes into received data without checking its length, causing a panic.
- ADS and EIP frame-length handling accepts, or arithmetically wraps to, a length of zero, breaking message framing.
- Recursive protocol types are parsed without a nesting-depth limit. The same defect in the Java implementation is covered by CVE-2026-102509 https://cveprocess.apache.org/cve5/CVE-2026-102509 .
Additionally, length and position arithmetic in generated serializers was performed in 16-bit integers. If an application forwards attacker-influenced payloads larger than 8 KB, the length field wraps, and the remainder of the payload may be interpreted by the receiving device (for example, an ADS PLC) as
additional, independent protocol messages.
This issue affects Apache PLC4X: from 0.11.0 before 1.0.0. PLC4Go is consumed as the Go module github.com/apache/plc4x/plc4go; versions refer to the corresponding Apache PLC4X releases.
Users are recommended to upgrade to version 1.0.0, which fixes the issue. |
| A flaw was found in GIMP's PNM file format parser. When parsing a specially crafted PNM file, the pnmscanner_gettoken() function writes a null terminator one byte past the end of a stack-allocated buffer due to an off-by-one error in the loop boundary check. This could lead to memory corruption, potentially resulting in denial of service or arbitrary code execution. |
| A flaw was found in the file-fits plugin in GIMP. When processing a FITS image file, the plugin calculates memory allocation sizes using signed 32-bit integers for width and height. If a crafted file sets both values to large values, their product exceeds 2^31 and overflows, resulting in an undersized heap-based buffer allocation. This integer overflow issue results in a heap-based buffer overflow when cfitsio subsequently writes a full row of pixels in the buffer, causing memory corruption, potentially leading to arbitrary code execution or a denial of service. |
| A flaw was found in GIMP's PSD file format plugin. This vulnerability, an unsigned integer underflow in the `block_rem` variable, occurs when a user opens a specially crafted `.psd` image file. The underflow leads to parser confusion, enabling an attacker to inject arbitrary data as layer resource blocks. This can ultimately result in arbitrary code execution, allowing the attacker to run malicious code on the victim's system. |
| A flaw was found in GIMP's PSD parser. An integer overflow in read_RLE_channel() can cause an undersized heap allocation for the RLE row-length table, after which subsequent per-row writes corrupt heap memory. This could lead to memory corruption, potentially resulting in denial of service or arbitrary code execution. |
| The MCUmgr SMP-over-console transport decodes a base64 frame, reads a 16-bit packet length from it, verifies a CRC and then unconditionally strips the trailing CRC with rx_ctxt->nb->len -= 2U; in mcumgr_serial_process_frag() (subsys/mgmt/mcumgr/transport/src/serial_util.c). mcumgr_serial_extract_len() accepted any declared length, including 0 and 1, and a packet declaring length 0 passes the checksum test for free because crc16_itu_t() over zero bytes returns the zero seed. Since net_buf::len is a uint16_t, the subtraction underflows and the buffer is handed to SMP claiming roughly 65 KB of payload while its data area is only CONFIG_MCUMGR_TRANSPORT_NETBUF_SIZE bytes (default 384).
The trigger is a single unauthenticated 7-byte line on the management console — the 0x06 0x09 packet marker followed by the base64 group AAA= and a newline — delivered to any transport built on this helper: CONFIG_MCUMGR_TRANSPORT_UART (smp_uart.c) or CONFIG_MCUMGR_TRANSPORT_SHELL (smp_shell.c), both of which select MCUMGR_TRANSPORT_SERIAL_HAS_SMP_OVER_CONSOLE. No prior session state, fragmentation or credentials are required to trigger the underflow, and the malformed frame is mishandled before any command handler or command-level access control runs. The attacker only needs write access to that console, which on many boards is a USB CDC-ACM port rather than a bare UART header.
With the inflated length, smp_process_request_packet() in subsys/mgmt/mcumgr/smp/src/smp.c loses its bound: cbor_nb_reader_init() gives the CBOR decoder a ~65 KB window into a 384-byte buffer, and each request header's nh_len is checked only against the inflated length. On its own the 7-byte frame re-parses whatever stale bytes the reused pool buffer still holds, typically a replay of the previously received request followed by a parse error, without leaving the buffer. Because the transport is unauthenticated, though, the attacker also controls the frames sent before the trigger, and can stage buffer contents so that a request succeeds with an nh_len larger than the buffer; net_buf_pull(), guarded only by __ASSERT_NO_MSG, then moves the parse cursor out of bounds and the loop reads further headers and CBOR from adjacent memory. The consequence is an out-of-bounds read that can fault the MCUmgr thread (denial of service); memory disclosure is also possible, since the default-enabled os echo handler (CONFIG_MCUMGR_GRP_OS_ECHO) decodes its string inside that window and copies it into its response. There is no integrity gain beyond what the unauthenticated transport already permits.
The fix rejects any declared packet length of two bytes or fewer in mcumgr_serial_extract_len(), so the CRC-strip subtraction can no longer underflow. The identical pattern remains in the test-only loopback transport subsys/mgmt/mcumgr/transport/src/smp_dummy.c (CONFIG_MCUMGR_TRANSPORT_DUMMY), which has no external input path and therefore carries no practical exposure. |
| U-Boot before 2026.10-rc5 contains a buffer overflow in nfs_read_reply() function in net/nfs-common.c that allows attackers to corrupt memory by supplying crafted NFS READ reply lengths. A malicious NFS server can exploit signed integer handling to bypass length validation and write far past the destination buffer, crashing the bootloader or corrupting memory. |
| A vulnerability was determined in Blosc C-Blosc2 up to 3.3.2. This impacts the function blosclz_decompress of the file blosc/blosclz.c of the component blosclz Decompression. Executing a manipulation can lead to integer overflow. The attack may be launched remotely. A high complexity level is associated with this attack. The exploitability is said to be difficult. Upgrading to version 3.3.3 will fix this issue. This patch is called fe2964d114d97847f56570a0ab2be2c57ccbeedc. The affected component should be upgraded. |
| Out-of-bounds read in Push Message Routing Service allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally. |
| Out-of-bounds read in BranchCache allows an unauthorized attacker to deny service over a network. |
| U-Boot before 2026.10-rc5 contains a buffer overflow in nfs_readlink_reply() function in net/nfs-common.c when processing NFS server responses. A malicious NFS server can send crafted READLINK replies with negative or oversized symlink length values to corrupt memory and crash the bootloader. |
| A flaw has been found in Nothings stb up to 1.16. This affects the function stbi_write_png_to_mem/stbi_write_jpg_core/stbi_write_tga_core in the library stb_image_write.h of the component Image Encoding. Executing a manipulation can lead to integer overflow. The attack can be executed remotely. The exploit has been published and may be used. |
| OpenImageIO is a toolset for reading, writing, and manipulating image files of any image file format relevant to VFX / animation. Prior to 3.0.21.0, 3.1.16.0, and 3.2.0.3-beta1, A truncated tga can leave a pending gif frame that is processed during output close. gifsplitpalette() computes numpixels multiplied by the palette partition width in signed 32-bit arithmetic; a large image overflows that intermediate, corrupts subpixelsa, and drives an out-of-bounds read while building the gif palette, resulting in a process crash and denial of service. The affected implementation is identified by src/gif.imageio/gif.h, GifSplitPalette(), numPixels, subPixelsA, GIFOutput, and truncated TGA input, which define the relevant source path, functions, state, and trigger. This issue is fixed in versions 3.0.21.0, 3.1.16.0, and 3.2.0.3-beta1. |
| Numeric truncation error in Internet Storage Name Service allows an authorized attacker to disclose information locally. |
| IBM PowerVM Hypervisor FW1120.00 through FW1120.01, FW1110.00 through FW1110.31, FW1060.00 through FW1060.81, and FW950.00 through FW950.H3 is affected by a vulnerability in the partition firmware runtime. An attacker with root access to a partition can send a specially crafted request to the partition firmware runtime, causing it to crash with possible memory corruption. |
