| CVE-2024-58370 | 1 Surrealdb | 1 Surrealdb | 2026-07-28 | 6.5 Medium |
| SurrealDB versions before 1.1.0 fail to enforce recursion depth limits when parsing nested SurrealQL statements including IF, RELATE, and attribute access idioms. Authorized attackers can submit queries with excessive nesting depth to cause stack overflow and crash the server. | ||||
| CVE-2026-63760 | 1 Surrealdb | 1 Surrealdb | 2026-07-28 | 7.5 High |
| SurrealDB before 3.1.0 fails to enforce the configured recursion depth limit in the value and JSON parser when processing nested braces, brackets, or parentheses. Unauthenticated attackers can send deeply nested JSON payloads to the WebSocket /rpc endpoint to exhaust server memory and crash the process. | ||||
| CVE-2026-63759 | 1 Surrealdb | 1 Surrealdb | 2026-07-28 | 6.5 Medium |
| SurrealDB before 3.1.0 fails to enforce recursion depth limits in the type/kind parser when processing nested type annotations. Authenticated attackers can send queries with deeply nested type annotations to exhaust server memory and crash the process. | ||||
| CVE-2026-63737 | 1 Surrealdb | 1 Surrealdb | 2026-07-28 | 6.5 Medium |
| SurrealDB versions before 3.1.5 contain a denial of service vulnerability where authenticated users can crash the server with queries containing long chains of operators. Attackers can submit queries with tens of thousands of chained operators that create unbounded expression trees, causing stack overflow during query processing and aborting the entire process. | ||||
| CVE-2026-58227 | 1 Erlang | 4 Erlang/otp, Erlang\/otp, Erlang\/ssl and 1 more | 2026-07-27 | 7.5 High |
| The Erlang/OTP ssl application does not detect cycles when reconstructing an incomplete peer certificate chain during a TLS or DTLS handshake. In ssl_certificate:handle_incomplete_chain/5, the received chain is passed to ssl_certificate:build_certificate_chain/5, which walks issuer relationships via ssl_certificate:do_certificate_chain/7 with no cycle detection and no depth limit. When the peer supplies two mutually cross-signed certificates in unordered form (A issues B, B issues A), the issuer lookup alternates between the two certificates and the pair of functions recurses indefinitely, growing the call stack and chain accumulator without bound. An unauthenticated remote attacker can send a crafted certificate chain in a TLS or DTLS Certificate handshake message to exhaust available memory and crash the BEAM node. Only a TCP connection and a partial handshake are required; no authentication or completed handshake is needed, and both TLS/DTLS servers and clients are affected when processing peer certificate messages. This issue affects OTP from OTP 23.2 before OTP 29.0.4, OTP 28.5.0.4 and OTP 27.3.4.15, corresponding to ssl from 10.2 before 11.7.4, 11.6.0.4 and 11.2.12.11. | ||||
| CVE-2026-63144 | 1 Elastic | 1 Elasticsearch | 2026-07-22 | 6.5 Medium |
| Uncontrolled Recursion (CWE-674) in Elasticsearch can lead to denial of service via a specially crafted search request submitted by a low-privileged authenticated user. A user with read-level index access can submit a request that triggers unbounded recursive processing within the Elasticsearch query evaluation component, causing a fatal error that terminates the affected node. In single-node deployments, this results in complete service outage; in multi-node clusters, it causes repeated node restarts and sustained availability degradation. | ||||
| CVE-2026-38755 | 1 Busybox | 1 Busybox | 2026-07-20 | 2.9 Low |
| A heap overflow in the evalcommand() function (shell/ash.c) of Busybox v1.38.0 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via supplying a crafted input. | ||||
| CVE-2026-38752 | 1 Busybox | 1 Busybox | 2026-07-20 | 2.9 Low |
| A stack overflow in the evaluate() function (editors/awk.c) of BusyBox commit 371fe9 allows attackers to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) via supplying a crafted AWK script. | ||||
| CVE-2026-53395 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-20 | 7.5 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: nfsd: fix dead ACL conflict guard in nfsd4_create nfsd4_create() steals create->cr_dpacl/cr_pacl into the local nfsd_attrs via the designated initializer, then immediately sets the source pointers to NULL. The subsequent conflict guard tests the already-nilled source fields, making it permanently dead code: if (create->cr_acl) { if (create->cr_dpacl || create->cr_pacl) /* always false */ When a client encodes both FATTR4_WORD0_ACL and FATTR4_WORD2_POSIX_{DEFAULT,ACCESS}_ACL in the same CREATE fattr bitmap, nfsd4_acl_to_attr() overwrites attrs.na_pacl/na_dpacl without releasing the originals, leaking two posix_acl slab objects per request. Repeated requests cause unbounded slab exhaustion. Fix by checking attrs.na_dpacl/na_pacl (the stolen values) instead of the nilled create->cr_dpacl/cr_pacl, matching the correct pattern already used in nfsd4_setattr(). | ||||
| CVE-2026-57081 | 1 Sanko | 1 Net::bittorrent | 2026-07-20 | 7.5 High |
| Net::BitTorrent versions through 2.1.0 for Perl allow remote memory exhaustion via deeply nested bencoded input. bdecode recurses once per nested list or dictionary level with no depth cap, and each recursive call receives the remaining buffer by value while the list and dictionary branches capture the whole remainder, so every live recursion frame keeps its own copy of the shrinking buffer (O(N^2) bytes for an N-deep input). The decoder runs on every untrusted bencode source: .torrent files, BEP09 metadata fetched from peers, DHT messages, and tracker responses. A bencoded input of roughly 150,000 nested lists (about 150 KB on the wire) drives multi-gigabyte peak memory, so one short message from any peer, or one crafted .torrent file or magnet link, terminates the client. | ||||
| CVE-2026-53329 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-07-18 | 7 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amd/display: Use krealloc_array() in dal_vector_reserve() [Why & How] dal_vector_reserve() computes the allocation size as "capacity * vector->struct_size" using uint32_t arithmetic, which can silently wrap to a small value on overflow. This would cause krealloc to return a smaller buffer than expected, leading to heap overflows on subsequent vector appends. Replace krealloc() with krealloc_array() which performs an internal overflow check and returns NULL on wrap, preventing the issue. | CVE-2026-45133 | 2 Sensiolabs, Symfony | 2 Symfony, Symfony | 2026-07-15 | 7.5 High |
| Symfony is a PHP framework for web and console applications and a set of reusable PHP components. Prior to 5.4.52, 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12, when the parser is exposed to attacker-controlled input, deeply nested mappings or sequences cause both the block-level (Parser::parseBlock()) and inline (Inline::parseSequence() / Inline::parseMapping()) parsers to recurse without a depth limit. A crafted document exhausts the PHP stack and crashes the worker. This issue is fixed in versions 5.4.52, 6.4.40, 7.4.12, and 8.0.12. | ||||
| CVE-2025-71382 | 2 Artifex, Artifexsoftware | 2 Mupdf, Mupdf | 2026-07-14 | 6.5 Medium |
| MuPDF before 1.27.0-rc1 contains an uncontrolled recursion vulnerability in the EPUB CSS rendering engine that allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service by supplying a maliciously crafted EPUB file with deeply nested HTML elements and inline CSS styles. The function value_from_inheritable_property() in css-apply.c recurses through the CSS property inheritance chain without a depth limit, exhausting the process stack and causing a crash in any application using MuPDF for EPUB rendering. | ||||
| CVE-2026-40007 | 1 Apache | 1 Iotdb | 2026-07-10 | 7.5 High |
| Uncontrolled Recursion, Uncontrolled Resource Consumption vulnerability in Apache IoTDB. When pipe_air_gap_receiver_enabled=true, the IoTDB AirGap receiver's readLength method calls itself recursively each time it recognises the E-language prefix in socket data, with no depth limit. An unauthenticated attacker can send a stream of repeated E-language prefixes that drives the recursion arbitrarily deep, exhausting the receiver thread's JVM stack and raising StackOverflowError. This issue affects Apache IoTDB: from 1.0.0 before 2.0.10. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.0.10, which fixes the issue. | ||||
| CVE-2026-59927 | 2 Lepture, Mistune Project | 2 Mistune, Mistune | 2026-07-09 | 5.3 Medium |
| Mistune is a Python Markdown parser with renderers and plugins. Prior to 3.3.0, the Include directive in src/mistune/directives/include.py detects only direct self-includes and not indirect cycles, allowing two markdown files that include each other to trigger unbounded recursion, raise RecursionError, and crash the rendering request. This issue is fixed in version 3.3.0. | ||||
| CVE-2026-14803 | 1 Sri | 1 Mojo::json | 2026-07-06 | 6.5 Medium |
| Mojo::JSON versions before 9.47 for Perl allow memory exhaustion via unbounded recursion in the pure-Perl decoder. The pure-Perl decode path (`_decode_value` dispatching to `_decode_array` and `_decode_object`) recurses with no depth limit, so a small deeply nested JSON document can consume excessive memory. This path is the default when Cpanel::JSON::XS is not installed or `MOJO_NO_JSON_XS=1` is set; the Cpanel::JSON::XS fast path is not affected. Any caller that decodes an untrusted JSON body, for example `Mojo::Message::json` reached through `$c->req->json`, can exhaust process memory and cause denial of service. | ||||
| CVE-2026-55594 | 1 Imagemagick | 1 Imagemagick | 2026-07-02 | 5.3 Medium |
| ImageMagick is free and open-source software used for editing and manipulating digital images. Prior to versions 6.9.13-51 and 7.1.2-26, a missing depth check in the MVG decoder will result in a stack overflow when a crafted image is provided. This issue has been fixed in versions 6.9.13-51 and 7.1.2-26. | ||||
| CVE-2026-56148 | 1 Elastic | 1 Elasticsearch | 2026-07-01 | 6.5 Medium |
| Uncontrolled Recursion (CWE-674) in Elasticsearch can lead to a denial of service via Excessive Allocation (CAPEC-130). An authenticated user can submit a specially crafted query that causes excessive resource consumption while the request is processed, which may render the affected node unavailable. | ||||
| CVE-2026-49451 | 1 Microsoft | 1 Openapi.net | 2026-07-01 | 7.5 High |
| The OpenAPI.NET SDK contains a useful object model for OpenAPI documents in .NET along with common serializers to extract raw OpenAPI JSON and YAML documents from the model. From 2.0.0-preview11 until 2.7.5 and 3.5.4, a small OpenAPI document containing a circular schema reference can cause process termination through stack overflow in Microsoft.OpenApi. The issue affects OpenAPI document parsing through public OpenAPI.NET reader APIs and has been confirmed across both JSON and YAML reader paths. This vulnerability is fixed in 2.7.5 and 3.5.4. | ||||
| CVE-2024-8176 | 1 Redhat | 10 Devworkspace, Discovery, Enterprise Linux and 7 more | 2026-06-29 | 7.5 High |
| A stack overflow vulnerability exists in the libexpat library due to the way it handles recursive entity expansion in XML documents. When parsing an XML document with deeply nested entity references, libexpat can be forced to recurse indefinitely, exhausting the stack space and causing a crash. This issue could lead to denial of service (DoS) or, in some cases, exploitable memory corruption, depending on the environment and library usage. | ||||
