CVE-2022-49208 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: RDMA/irdma: Prevent some integer underflows My static checker complains that: drivers/infiniband/hw/irdma/ctrl.c:3605 irdma_sc_ceq_init() warn: can subtract underflow 'info->dev->hmc_fpm_misc.max_ceqs'? It appears that "info->dev->hmc_fpm_misc.max_ceqs" comes from the firmware in irdma_sc_parse_fpm_query_buf() so, yes, there is a chance that it could be zero. Even if we trust the firmware, it's easy enough to change the condition just as a hardenning measure.
CVE-2022-49750 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: cpufreq: CPPC: Add u64 casts to avoid overflowing The fields of the _CPC object are unsigned 32-bits values. To avoid overflows while using _CPC's values, add 'u64' casts.
CVE-2022-49749 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: i2c: designware: use casting of u64 in clock multiplication to avoid overflow In functions i2c_dw_scl_lcnt() and i2c_dw_scl_hcnt() may have overflow by depending on the values of the given parameters including the ic_clk. For example in our use case where ic_clk is larger than one million, multiplication of ic_clk * 4700 will result in 32 bit overflow. Add cast of u64 to the calculation to avoid multiplication overflow, and use the corresponding define for divide.
CVE-2022-49748 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-10-01 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/x86/amd: fix potential integer overflow on shift of a int The left shift of int 32 bit integer constant 1 is evaluated using 32 bit arithmetic and then passed as a 64 bit function argument. In the case where i is 32 or more this can lead to an overflow. Avoid this by shifting using the BIT_ULL macro instead.

CVE-2022-49197 2 Linux, Redhat 2 Linux Kernel, Enterprise Linux 2025-09-23 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: af_netlink: Fix shift out of bounds in group mask calculation When a netlink message is received, netlink_recvmsg() fills in the address of the sender. One of the fields is the 32-bit bitfield nl_groups, which carries the multicast group on which the message was received. The least significant bit corresponds to group 1, and therefore the highest group that the field can represent is 32. Above that, the UB sanitizer flags the out-of-bounds shift attempts. Which bits end up being set in such case is implementation defined, but it's either going to be a wrong non-zero value, or zero, which is at least not misleading. Make the latter choice deterministic by always setting to 0 for higher-numbered multicast groups. To get information about membership in groups >= 32, userspace is expected to use nl_pktinfo control messages[0], which are enabled by NETLINK_PKTINFO socket option. [0] https://lwn.net/Articles/147608/ The way to trigger this issue is e.g. through monitoring the BRVLAN group: # bridge monitor vlan & # ip link add name br type bridge Which produces the following citation: UBSAN: shift-out-of-bounds in net/netlink/af_netlink.c:162:19 shift exponent 32 is too large for 32-bit type 'int'
CVE-2022-49222 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2025-09-22 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/bridge: anx7625: Fix overflow issue on reading EDID The length of EDID block can be longer than 256 bytes, so we should use `int` instead of `u8` for the `edid_pos` variable.
CVE-2025-7985 1 Ashlar 1 Cobalt 2025-09-22 N/A
Ashlar-Vellum Cobalt VC6 File Parsing Integer Overflow Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of Ashlar-Vellum Cobalt. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file. The specific flaw exists within the parsing of VC6 files. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in an integer overflow before allocating a buffer. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-25704.
