This may lead to information disclosure or crash.

A content injection vulnerability was found in the ABRT post-create event handler scripts in libreport. The event script queries the systemd journal for log entries matching the crashed process and writes the results to files in the dump directory without sanitizing embedded control characters. A local user can inject arbitrary content into the journal output by embedding newline characters in syslog messages, controlling the content that root writes to dump directory files.

A symlink following vulnerability was found in the ABRT post-create event handler scripts in libreport. Event scripts write output files using shell redirections without the O_NOFOLLOW flag. If the target file is replaced with a symlink, the shell process running as root follows the symlink and writes content to the symlink target, allowing arbitrary file overwrites on the system.

Apache Log4j2 2.0-beta9 through 2.15.0 (excluding security releases 2.12.2, 2.12.3, and 2.3.1) JNDI features used in configuration, log messages, and parameters do not protect against attacker controlled LDAP and other JNDI related endpoints. An attacker who can control log messages or log message parameters can execute arbitrary code loaded from LDAP servers when message lookup substitution is enabled. From log4j 2.15.0, this behavior has been disabled by default. From version 2.16.0 (along with 2.12.2, 2.12.3, and 2.3.1), this functionality has been completely removed. Note that this vulnerability is specific to log4j-core and does not affect log4net, log4cxx, or other Apache Logging Services projects.

A use-after-free vulnerability in the Linux kernel's netfilter: nf_tables component can be exploited to achieve local privilege escalation. The nft_verdict_init() function allows positive values as drop error within the hook verdict, and hence the nf_hook_slow() function can cause a double free vulnerability when NF_DROP is issued with a drop error which resembles NF_ACCEPT. We recommend upgrading past commit f342de4e2f33e0e39165d8639387aa6c19dff660.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: firewire: nosy: ensure user_length is taken into account when fetching packet contents Ensure that packet_buffer_get respects the user_length provided. If the length of the head packet exceeds the user_length, packet_buffer_get will now return 0 to signify to the user that no data were read and a larger buffer size is required. Helps prevent user space overflows.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: drm/amdgpu: once more fix the call oder in amdgpu_ttm_move() v2 This reverts drm/amdgpu: fix ftrace event amdgpu_bo_move always move on same heap. The basic problem here is that after the move the old location is simply not available any more. Some fixes were suggested, but essentially we should call the move notification before actually moving things because only this way we have the correct order for DMA-buf and VM move notifications as well. Also rework the statistic handling so that we don't update the eviction counter before the move. v2: add missing NULL check

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: Bluetooth: Fix use-after-free bugs caused by sco_sock_timeout When the sco connection is established and then, the sco socket is releasing, timeout_work will be scheduled to judge whether the sco disconnection is timeout. The sock will be deallocated later, but it is dereferenced again in sco_sock_timeout. As a result, the use-after-free bugs will happen. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nf_tables: Fix potential data-race in __nft_obj_type_get() nft_unregister_obj() can concurrent with __nft_obj_type_get(), and there is not any protection when iterate over nf_tables_objects list in __nft_obj_type_get(). Therefore, there is potential data-race of nf_tables_objects list entry. Use list_for_each_entry_rcu() to iterate over nf_tables_objects list in __nft_obj_type_get(), and use rcu_read_lock() in the caller nft_obj_type_get() to protect the entire type query process.

In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: br_netfilter: skip conntrack input hook for promisc packets For historical reasons, when bridge device is in promisc mode, packets that are directed to the taps follow bridge input hook path. This patch adds a workaround to reset conntrack for these packets. Jianbo Liu reports warning splats in their test infrastructure where cloned packets reach the br_netfilter input hook to confirm the conntrack object. Scratch one bit from BR_INPUT_SKB_CB to annotate that this packet has reached the input hook because it is passed up to the bridge device to reach the taps. In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netfilter: nft_set_pipapo: walk over current view on netlink dump The generation mask can be updated while netlink dump is in progress. The pipapo set backend walk iterator cannot rely on it to infer what view of the datastructure is to be used. Add notation to specify if user wants to read/update the set.
