CVE-2026-98128 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: scsi: mpi3mr: Fix target device refcount leak in mpi3mr_sas_port_add() mpi3mr_get_tgtdev_by_addr() increments the target device kref when it returns a device. If a subsequent error triggers a goto out_fail after the tgtdev reference is acquired, the reference is never released because the out_fail path does not call mpi3mr_tgtdev_put(). This prevents the target device structure from ever being freed. Add a tgtdev put in the out_fail path, guarded by a NULL check since tgtdev is only acquired for SAS_END_DEVICE types and the same cleanup path is shared by earlier error cases where tgtdev is still NULL.
CVE-2026-98092 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-03 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ASoC: amd: yc: fix memory leak in acp6x_pdm_dma_close() acp6x_pdm_dma_close() does not free the runtime->private_data buffer allocated in acp6x_pdm_dma_open(). Add the missing kfree.
CVE-2026-98082 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: btrfs: fix the possible bioc_list memory leak during error There are two possible ways to leak bioc memory on btrfs_ordered_extent::bioc_list: - An error occurred for btrfs_insert_one_raid_extent() Then the function btrfs_insert_raid_extent() immediately return without freeing any bioc in the bioc_list. - An ordered extent hit an IO error In that case the ordered extent will have BTRFS_ORDERED_IOERR set, and skip the call on btrfs_insert_raid_extent() completely. Fix the problem by: - Introduce a new helper, btrfs_cleanup_ordered_bioc_list() Which will remove all bioc from the bioc_list, and release the bioc. - Call the above helper for btrfs_insert_raid_extent() So that the cleanup helper is always called no matter what. - Call the above helper for btrfs_finish_one_ordered() This is called just before the final release on the ordered extent. This was reported by Sashiko when reviewing another patch.
CVE-2026-97939 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipmr: account multicast table and route memory A netadmin in a user+net namespace can create many IPv4 and IPv6 multicast routing tables with MRT_TABLE and MRT6_TABLE. Each unseen id allocates an mr_table via the shared mr_table_alloc(), links it into the per-net list, and leaves it until netns teardown. Those objects were not charged to memcg, so the host unreclaimable slab grows with the table count. Account mr_table allocations with GFP_KERNEL_ACCOUNT and mark the IPv4/IPv6 MFC caches SLAB_ACCOUNT. This matches the established handling of IP addresses, routes and alternate interface names. Unresolved MFC entries are still allocated from softIRQ with GFP_ATOMIC and are not charged. They expire after 10 seconds and are bounded by the socket receive queue; see commit 0079ad8e8dc3 ("ipmr: remove hard code cache_resolve_queue_len limit").
CVE-2026-97921 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: tracing: Free histogram the field rejected for a bad modifier Writing a hist trigger whose value or variable carries a modifier that is not allowed there leaks the fields that were built for it. __create_val_field() takes the field from parse_expr() and stores it in hist_data->fields[] only after the modifier checks have run: hist_field = parse_expr(hist_data, file, field_str, flags, var_name, &n_subexprs); ... if (hist_field->flags & HIST_FIELD_FL_VAR) { if (hist_field->flags & (...)) goto err; } else { if (hist_field->flags & (...)) goto err; } hist_data->fields[val_idx] = hist_field; Both checks jump past that store, and the err label returns without freeing anything. The error unwinds to create_hist_data(), which calls destroy_hist_data() -> destroy_hist_fields(), and that reaches a field only by walking fields[]. A field that never got there is unreachable. commit e0213434fe3e ("tracing: Do not let histogram values have some modifiers") set ret to -EINVAL and fell through to the store, which left the field owned by fields[] and freed along with the rest of hist_data. Splitting the check into a value case and a variable case replaced that fall-through with a goto that skips it. With CONFIG_DEBUG_KMEMLEAK, 200 writes of # echo 'hist:keys=prev_pid:vals=next_pid.log2' > \ events/sched/sched_switch/trigger each correctly rejected with -EINVAL, leave 332 unreferenced objects (63744 bytes) reported at create_hist_field(); 200 install and remove cycles of a valid trigger leave none. A '.log2' field is two allocations, since create_hist_field() puts the plain field in operands[0] of the log2 field, and both are reported. Use destroy_hist_field() rather than __destroy_hist_field() so that operands[0] is freed as well. It returns early for HIST_FIELD_FL_VAR_REF, which is what an operand owned by hist_data->var_refs[] needs; the rejected field itself is never a var ref, because a var ref never carries a modifier flag.
CVE-2026-97598 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: ipv4: fib: bound automatic table ID allocation fib_empty_table() probes every table ID from 1 until it finds a free one. IPv4 tables are stored in a 256-bucket hash table, so a dense set of IDs makes each probe walk a growing hash chain while RTNL is held. Automatic table assignment ("ip rule ... table 0") is an IPv4-only legacy path. Bound the automatically allocated ID to 4096 so the RTNL hold stays bounded, without changing lookups of explicitly specified table IDs. This changes user-visible behavior. A table-0 rule previously received the lowest free ID in 1..RT_TABLE_MAX (0xFFFFFFFF). After this patch the search stops at 4096 and the rule add fails with ENOBUFS if that range is fully occupied. Explicit table IDs above 4096 remain usable. The automatic path is unused in practice: it is IPv4-only, not documented by ip-rule, uncovered by kernel selftests, and both NetworkManager and systemd refuse table 0.
CVE-2026-89868 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-03 N/A
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: media: chips-media: wave5: Add timeout while stop_streaming When stop_streaming is called, an infinite loop may occur in some cases. Add a bounded poll of the queue status: loop until the queues drain, sleeping briefly between polls, and bail out once VPU_DEC_STOP_TIMEOUT elapses.
CVE-2024-56545 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: HID: hyperv: streamline driver probe to avoid devres issues It was found that unloading 'hid_hyperv' module results in a devres complaint: ... hv_vmbus: unregistering driver hid_hyperv ------------[ cut here ]------------ WARNING: CPU: 2 PID: 3983 at drivers/base/devres.c:691 devres_release_group+0x1f2/0x2c0 ... And the issue seems to be that the corresponding devres group is not allocated. Normally, devres_open_group() is called from __hid_device_probe() but Hyper-V HID driver overrides 'hid_dev->driver' with 'mousevsc_hid_driver' stub and basically re-implements __hid_device_probe() by calling hid_parse() and hid_hw_start() but not devres_open_group(). hid_device_probe() does not call __hid_device_probe() for it. Later, when the driver is removed, hid_device_remove() calls devres_release_group() as it doesn't check whether hdev->driver was initially overridden or not. The issue seems to be related to the commit 62c68e7cee33 ("HID: ensure timely release of driver-allocated resources") but the commit itself seems to be correct. Fix the issue by dropping the 'hid_dev->driver' override and using hid_register_driver()/hid_unregister_driver() instead. Alternatively, it would have been possible to rely on the default handling but HID_CONNECT_DEFAULT implies HID_CONNECT_HIDRAW and it doesn't seem to work for mousevsc as-is.
CVE-2024-40979 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-03 7.8 High
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath12k: fix kernel crash during resume Currently during resume, QMI target memory is not properly handled, resulting in kernel crash in case DMA remap is not supported: BUG: Bad page state in process kworker/u16:54 pfn:36e80 page: refcount:1 mapcount:0 mapping:0000000000000000 index:0x0 pfn:0x36e80 page dumped because: nonzero _refcount Call Trace: bad_page free_page_is_bad_report __free_pages_ok __free_pages dma_direct_free dma_free_attrs ath12k_qmi_free_target_mem_chunk ath12k_qmi_msg_mem_request_cb The reason is: Once ath12k module is loaded, firmware sends memory request to host. If suspend is triggered, firmware will be reloaded during resume. As same as before, firmware requests two large segments at first. In ath12k_qmi_msg_mem_request_cb() segment count and size are assigned: ab->qmi.mem_seg_count == 2 ab->qmi.target_mem[0].size == 7077888 ab->qmi.target_mem[1].size == 8454144 Then allocation failed like before and ath12k_qmi_free_target_mem_chunk() is called to free all allocated segments. Note the first segment is skipped because its v.addr is cleared due to allocation failure: chunk->v.addr = dma_alloc_coherent() Also note that this leaks that segment because it has not been freed. While freeing the second segment, a size of 8454144 is passed to dma_free_coherent(). However remember that this segment is allocated at the first time firmware is loaded, before suspend. So its real size is 524288, much smaller than 8454144. As a result kernel found we are freeing some memory which is in use and thus cras ---truncated---
CVE-2023-53574 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: rtw88: delete timer and free skb queue when unloading Fix possible crash and memory leak on driver unload by deleting TX purge timer and freeing C2H queue in 'rtw_core_deinit()', shrink critical section in the latter by freeing COEX queue out of TX report lock scope.
CVE-2023-53353 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-03 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: accel/habanalabs: postpone mem_mgr IDR destruction to hpriv_release() The memory manager IDR is currently destroyed when user releases the file descriptor. However, at this point the user context might be still held, and memory buffers might be still in use. Later on, calls to release those buffers will fail due to not finding their handles in the IDR, leading to a memory leak. To avoid this leak, split the IDR destruction from the memory manager fini, and postpone it to hpriv_release() when there is no user context and no buffers are used.
CVE-2026-101161 2026-10-03 N/A
The WP Ultimate Review WordPress plugin before 2.4.4 does not prevent unauthenticated users from storing crafted review content that makes the reviewed page fail with a fatal error on every subsequent visit, resulting in a persistent denial of service when the WP Ultimate Review WordPress plugin before 2.4.4's review display settings have never been saved.
CVE-2026-103880 1 Apache 1 Directory Ldap Api 2026-10-02 N/A
Asymmetric Resource Consumption vulnerability in Apache Directory LDAP API. Storing a password using the bcrypt algorithm with a high force like 30 in a LDAP server that supports this algorithm will cause the server CPU to  run for hours checking the credentials. A bounded cost should be enforced to avoid a server DOS. This issue affects Apache Directory LDAP API: from 2.1.0 before 2.1.9. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 2.1.9, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-104874 2026-10-02 5.3 Medium
Multidict is an implementation of a multidict data structure. From 6.7.0 until 6.9.1, the C extension's items-view reflected union operation, operand | d.items(), in multidict_itemsview_or2_impl and subtraction operation, d.items() - operand, in multidict_itemsview_sub1_impl fail to release new key-identity and value references returned for each operand element. Applications that perform these operations over attacker-influenced sequences can leak two strong references per element, and garbage collection cannot reclaim them, so repeated operations can cause unbounded process memory growth and denial of service. Forward union, intersection, non-tuple operand elements, and pure-Python builds are not affected by this reference leak. This issue is fixed in version 6.9.1.
CVE-2026-98162 1 Linux 1 Linux Kernel 2026-10-02 5.5 Medium
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: smb/server: fix tree connection leak in smb2_tree_connect() See the procedure below: smb2_tree_connect ksmbd_tree_conn_connect xa_store(&sess->tree_conns, tree_conn->id, tree_conn) ksmbd_counter_inc(KSMBD_COUNTER_TREE_CONNS) ksmbd_share_tree_conn_inc(sc) ksmbd_iov_pin_rsp // fail status.ret = KSMBD_TREE_CONN_STATUS_NOMEM // do not disconnect tree_conn Disconnect the new tree connection if ksmbd_iov_pin_rsp() fails.
CVE-2026-71486 2 Vllm, Vllm-project 2 Vllm, Vllm 2026-10-02 4.3 Medium
vLLM is an inference and serving engine for large language models. Prior to 0.26.0, the /v1/completions/derender and /v1/chat/completions/derender endpoints accept caller-supplied GenerateResponse objects whose generate_responses, choices, token_ids, prompt_logprobs, logprobs.content, top_logprobs, and routed_experts structures are processed by OnlineDerenderer and tokenizer.decode before max_model_len, max_tokens, max_num_seqs, or response-size limits are enforced, allowing an authenticated API client to consume excessive CPU and memory and produce oversized responses. This issue is fixed in version 0.26.0.
CVE-2026-104861 2026-10-02 7.5 High
probe-image-size gets image dimensions without downloading the entire file. Prior to 7.4.0, lib/parse_sync/svg.js and lib/parse_stream/svg.js use the searching regular expression /<[-_.:a-zA-Z0-9][^>]*>/, which repeatedly scans to the end of input when attacker-controlled data contains many less-than characters without a closing greater-than character. The synchronous parser converts and scans the full supplied buffer without an input cap, while the streaming parser reparses the complete accumulated SVG prefix for every received chunk. The probe.sync(), probe(stream), and probe(url) entry points can therefore block the Node.js event loop at full CPU, and attacker-controlled chunking can amplify the streaming cost. This issue is fixed in version 7.4.0.
CVE-2026-104844 2026-10-02 5.9 Medium
PostCSS Selector Parser is a CSS selector parser that integrates with PostCSS but does not require it. Prior to 7.1.6, src/parser.js splitWord() can receive a flat selector as one word token carrying many class or ID indexes because period and hash characters are not tokenizer word delimiters. The uniqs() deduplication and per-index class and ID membership checks repeatedly scan the class and ID index arrays, while a separate Sass-interpolation filtering pass also performs repeated linear scanning. Together, these passes make parsing quadratic in the number of indexes and allow a crafted selector to occupy a synchronous parser thread. The maxNestingDepth guard does not mitigate the issue because the hostile selector can have zero nesting depth. Only consumers that synchronously parse untrusted selectors in an exposed request path are affected; ordinary build-time parsing of trusted sources is not affected. This issue is fixed in version 7.1.6.
CVE-2026-96292 2 Apache, Redhat 2 Thrift, Hummingbird 2026-10-02 N/A
Inefficient regular expression complexity, Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity vulnerability in Apache Thrift Lua bindings. This issue affects Apache Thrift: before 0.25.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 0.25.0, which fixes the issue.
CVE-2026-96287 1 Apache 1 Thrift 2026-10-02 N/A
Inefficient Algorithmic Complexity vulnerability in Apache Thrift Perl bindings. This issue affects Apache Thrift: before 0.25.0. Users are recommended to upgrade to version 0.25.0, which fixes the issue.
