CVSS v3.1 |
| KaTeX is a fast, easy-to-use JavaScript library for TeX math rendering on the web. From 0.11.0 until 0.18.2, KaTeX uses ordinary JavaScript property access for the renderer options object, the trust setting, default and processor setting metadata, and namespace lookup and group restoration, allowing inherited properties to be treated as explicitly supplied values. When Object.prototype is already polluted or an attacker controls the options object's prototype, attacker-controlled mathematical expressions can use an inherited trust value to enable trusted rendering and produce links capable of user-interaction cross-site scripting or loading attacker-selected external resources in a consuming application that inserts unsanitized KaTeX output into a page. KaTeX does not itself create the prototype pollution, and rendering an expression alone does not execute script. This issue is fixed in version 0.18.2. |
| If exploited, this cross-site scripting vulnerability could allow remote attackers to inject malicious code. QNAP has already fixed the issue in the following QTS versions. QTS 4.4.2.1231 on build 20200302; QTS 4.4.1.1201 on build 20200130; QTS 4.3.6.1218 on build 20200214; QTS 4.3.4.1190 on build 20200107; QTS 4.3.3.1161 on build 20200109; QTS 4.2.6 on build 20200109. |

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
i2c: smbus: reject oversized block transfers in the common path
The SMBus block transfer length data->block[0] is validated in
i2c_smbus_xfer_emulated() but that check runs too late for tracepoints
and is skipped entirely when the adapter provides a native smbus_xfer
implementation. This allows user-controlled oversized block lengths to
reach tracepoint memcpy calls and driver callbacks unchecked.
Add an early validation in __i2c_smbus_xfer() that rejects block
transfers whose caller-supplied length is zero or exceeds
I2C_SMBUS_BLOCK_MAX before any tracepoint fires or driver callback
runs. data->block[0] is filled in by the device on SMBus block reads,
so the check is scoped to operations where the length is actually
supplied by the caller. This is consistent with the existing -EINVAL
convention in the emulated path and protects all downstream consumers
at once: the smbus_write tracepoint, all native smbus_xfer driver
implementations, and the emulated path.
Two distinct bugs are fixed by this change:
Bug 1: smbus_write tracepoint OOB (include/trace/events/smbus.h)
trace_smbus_write() fires before any validation and copies
data->block[0]+1 bytes into a 34-byte event buffer. With
block[0]=0xfe the tracepoint copies 255 bytes, overflowing by 221.

Bug 2: i2c-stub I2C_SMBUS_I2C_BLOCK_DATA OOB (drivers/i2c/i2c-stub.c)
stub_xfer() implements .smbus_xfer directly and only clamps
block[0] against 256-command, not I2C_SMBUS_BLOCK_MAX. With
block[0]=0xff and command=0 the loop accesses block[1+i] for
i up to 254, far past the 34-byte union.

| A vulnerability was found in agentverus agentverus-scanner up to 0.8.1. Affected by this vulnerability is the function isSecurityDefenseSkill of the file dist/scanner/analyzers/context.js. Performing a manipulation results in reliance on untrusted inputs in a security decision. The attack must be initiated from a local position. The exploit has been made public and could be used. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet. |
| On deployments where the remote-support capability is licensed and enabled, an authenticated System Administrator who also possessed the key protecting the submitted data could redirect the underlying system's outbound support connection to a destination of their choosing. That destination could then have operating-system commands executed on the node and receive their output, potentially resulting in remote code execution with the privileges of a local service account. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
net: mpls: clear inner_protocol when the last label is popped
skb_mpls_push() records the pre-encapsulation network header once, gated
on !skb->inner_protocol. skb_mpls_pop() never clears that record, so it
outlives the encapsulation it describes.
Open vSwitch can then re-push MPLS onto a packet whose
inner_network_header still points at the older, deeper offset: push a
label, pop every label, recirculate (ovs_flow_key_update() re-derives
key->eth.type and resets network_header, but leaves inner_*), then push
again. ovs_fragment() trusts the record:
skb->network_header = skb->inner_network_header;
so skb_network_offset() goes negative. The bound check is signed:
if (skb_network_offset(skb) > MAX_L2_LEN)
a negative offset passes it, and prepare_frag() widens the value:
unsigned int hlen = skb_network_offset(skb);
memcpy(&data->l2_data, skb->data, hlen);
which is a ~4GiB memcpy out of a 30-byte per-CPU buffer.
Reproduced on v7.3-rc1. RDX is the truncated length, (unsigned int)(-8):
BUG: unable to handle page fault for address: ffffe8ffffc16000

Same root-cause shape as commit 975b5b067f52 ("ipv6: sr: restore network
header before routing and forwarding"): a stale network header offset
reaching a consumer that widens it. Here it originates in the MPLS
push/pop path.
Clear inner_protocol once the packet is no longer MPLS, so a later push
re-records the current header. net/sched/act_mpls.c is the only other
skb_mpls_pop() caller and gets the same fix; sch_frag.c saves and
restores inner_protocol around fragmentation in the same way OVS does. |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:
io_uring/net: don't overconsume buffers when using MSG_TRUNC
When a recv/recvmsg is issued with MSG_TRUNC and the incoming packet is
larger than the provided buffer, the net layer returns the full length
of the packet rather than the number of bytes actually copied into the
buffer. As a result, io_uring advances more of the provided buffer ring
than was actually filled. Use the actual filled region size to consume
the buffer, but still return the full size to preserve MSG_TRUNC
semantics.
Take care with multishot, because that seems to already truncate the
consumption based on the available payload size.
This was reported in https://github.com/axboe/liburing/issues/1619.

| Shop manager Content Injection in Astra WordPress Theme <= 4.13.12 versions. |
| Zammad is a web based open source helpdesk/customer support system. Prior to 7.1.2, unsanitized option labels are rendered in the configuration dialogs of AI Agents within Zammad's admin UI. When rendering the list of selected options, the option label is output as raw HTML without escaping. An attacker who can control an option label, for example by setting a malicious string as a user or organization name used in a relation attribute, or by supplying a crafted custom attribute option value, can inject arbitrary HTML and JavaScript. The payload executes in the browser of any admin or agent who opens the affected object attribute configuration view. This issue is fixed in version 7.1.2. |
| Laravel is a web application framework. Prior to 12.69.0 and 13.30.0, Laravel exception debug pages with APP_DEBUG=true pass attacker-controlled input to a Tippy.js tooltip configured with allowHTML true, enabling DOM-based cross-site scripting when a user hovers over the tooltip. This issue is fixed in versions 12.69.0 and 13.30.0. |
