| CVE-2026-93278 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-01 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: staging: octeon: add missing napi_disable in cvm_oct_rx_shutdown cvm_oct_rx_shutdown calls free_irq and netif_napi_del without disabling the napi instance first. As the free_irq only waits for completion of hard interrupt handlers, the napi poll function could still be active. If cvm_oct_remove proceeds to free the plat structure (which holds the NAPI instances), the active poll function will access freed memory, resulting in a use-after-free crash. | ||||

| CVE-2026-93271 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-01 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: ath11k: cap out-of-range rx MCS instead of leaving bogus rate ath11k can receive HT/VHT/HE frames whose reported MCS is above the maximum that can be expressed in the corresponding mac80211 rate space (e.g. an HE frame reported with MCS 12, while HE tops out at MCS 11). The frame itself is valid and decodes correctly, but for such a frame ath11k_dp_rx_h_rate() leaves rx_status->rate_idx set to the out-of-range value and never assigns rx_status->encoding, so it stays RX_ENC_LEGACY from the ath11k_dp_rx_h_ppdu() initialization. Once that frame reaches mac80211 it trips the rate sanity check and the frame is dropped with a splat: ath11k_pci 0000:03:00.0: Received with invalid mcs in HE mode 12 WARNING: CPU: 0 PID: 0 at net/mac80211/rx.c:5433 ieee80211_rx_list+0xb0a/0xe90 [mac80211] Dropping the frame would discard otherwise valid data, so instead cap the reported MCS to the maximum the rate space can express and deliver the frame. Set rx_status->encoding before the range check and assign rate_idx from the capped value, so a frame with an out-of-range MCS no longer leaves partial or bogus rate metadata behind. Also downgrade the logging level since they are not treated as invalid frames now. The only loss is that such a frame is reported as the capped MCS in the rx rate statistics. | CVE-2026-93272 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-01 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: remoteproc: qcom_wcnss: Fix handling the lack of PD regulators in v3 The changes introduced to handle single power domain platforms have swapped the info pointer increment from num_pd_vregs to num_pds, which would shift the info pointer past the end of the array for pronto-v3, which does not list power domain regulators in vregs. This showed up as a difference between GCC- and LLVM-compiled kernels on SDM632 devices, where only with LLVM one would get the "regulator request with no identifier" error, because the out-of-bounds memory ended up being zeroed. Fix by skipping the increment when there are more power domains than regulators. | ||||
| CVE-2026-93273 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-01 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: regulator: tps6594: Fix device node reference leaks in multiphase loop In tps6594_regulator_probe(), the multi-phase configuration loop calls of_find_node_by_name() to find buck nodes by name, and of_get_parent() twice to navigate to the PMIC parent node. None of the acquired node references (np, intermediate parent, np_pmic_parent) are ever released via of_node_put(), causing a reference leak on every loop iteration. Additionally, of_find_node_by_name() can return NULL, but the result was immediately passed to of_node_full_name() and of_get_parent() without a NULL check, which could lead to a NULL pointer dereference. Fix this by: - Adding a NULL check for np after of_find_node_by_name() - Storing the intermediate parent node in a local variable np_parent - Calling of_node_put() on np, np_parent and np_pmic_parent at the end of each loop iteration | ||||
| CVE-2026-93275 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-01 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: perf/x86/intel/pt: Fix stop/start with no update If pt_event_stop() is called without PERF_EF_UPDATE flag, then perf_aux_output_end() is not called. A subsequent call to pt_event_start() will call perf_aux_output_begin() again which violates the rule against nesting and triggers a WARNING in perf_aux_output_begin(). Originally, pt_event_stop() was never called without PERF_EF_UPDATE, because the only code paths to do so are from event overflow, and Intel PT does not do that. However the introduction of group throttling by commit 9734e25fbf5ae ("perf: Fix the throttle logic for a group") meant that an Intel PT event could be throttled if it was part of a group. Throttling calls PMU ->stop() / ->start() callbacks without flags. An example is when AUX area sampling is used. The following commands hit the issue: echo 10000 > /proc/sys/kernel/perf_event_max_sample_rate perf record -F32000 --aux-sample -e '{intel_pt//u,cycles:u}' \ -- bash -c 'for i in `seq 1 100000` ; do true ; done' Use PERF_HES_UPTODATE to track whether perf_aux_output_begin() and perf_aux_output_end() are balanced. A cleared PERF_HES_UPTODATE bit indicates that an AUX output context is still open. Amend pt_event_start() / pt_event_stop() accordingly so that begin/end stay balanced: - In non-snapshot mode, stop() always closes the buffer (the buffer may have run out of space, and that accounting is done by the update), so a following start() opens a fresh one as before. - In snapshot/overwrite mode, stop() without PERF_EF_UPDATE leaves the buffer open so that pt_event_snapshot_aux() can still copy from it, and start() then only re-enables tracing instead of calling perf_aux_output_begin() again. Note that pt_event_del() calls pt_event_stop() with PERF_EF_UPDATE flag set (as is required by the documentation), so a final call to perf_aux_output_end() is assured. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: pcie: null RX pointers after free When iwl_pcie_tx_init() fails after RX init, nic init unwinds via iwl_pcie_rx_free(). The freed RX members stayed non-NULL on the live transport object, so later teardown or retry could touch stale RX state. Set rx_pool, global_table, rxq, and alloc_page to NULL after free to make repeated cleanup and retry paths safe. | ||||

| CVE-2026-93804 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-01 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: mac80211: ibss: wait for in-flight TX on disconnect While leaving an IBSS in ieee80211_ibss_disconnect() mac80211 flushes stations, turns the carrier off and immediately tells the driver to leave as well. While there may be synchronize_net() in station flush and in this code later, packets can still be transmitted due to cross-CPU race conditions after carrier off is set. Therefore, it's possible for a race to happen where a TX to the driver occurs while or after telling it to leave the IBSS. This can be confusing to drivers, and in the case of iwlwifi leads to an attempt to use invalid queues. Move netif_carrier_off() to occur before sta_info_flush() during IBSS disconnect, and add synchronize_net() if flushing didn't, so that the synchronize_net() always happens between turning the carrier off and telling the driver, avoiding this race. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: exfat: fix handling of damaged volume in exfat_create_upcase_table() When the size of the upcase table is set to zero in the dentry for any reason(e.g. corrupted media or misbehaving device), an integer overflow causes the module to loop indefinitely. If the size of the upcase table is read zero, do not attempt to load the table. Instead, fallback to loading the default upcase table. If the size of the upcase table is zero or no upcase table is found, raise exfat_fs_error() to mark the volume read-only. | ||||
| CVE-2026-97410 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-01 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: netconsole: take target_cleanup_list_lock in drop_netconsole_target() drop_netconsole_target() unlinks the target while only holding target_list_lock. However, when the underlying interface has been unregistered, netconsole_netdev_event() moves the target from target_list to target_cleanup_list, and netconsole_process_cleanups_core() walks that list under target_cleanup_list_lock only. If a user removes the configfs target at the same time the cleanup worker is iterating target_cleanup_list, list_del() can corrupt the list because the two paths take disjoint locks while operating on the same list node. Acquire target_cleanup_list_lock around the list_del() so the unlink is serialised against netconsole_process_cleanups_core() regardless of which list the target currently belongs to. The state transition that downgrades STATE_DEACTIVATED to STATE_DISABLED is left intact and is performed under the same combined locking, preserving the existing ordering with resume_target(). | ||||

| CVE-2026-97474 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-01 | 7.4 High |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: wifi: iwlwifi: mld: purge async notifications upon nic error This fixes a kernel panic in reconfig failure: 1. we have a BSS connection 2. we have a NAN connection 3. FW error occurs 4. reconfig restores the BSS connection 5. however, restoring the NAN connection fails due to a FW error. 6. erroneously, ieee80211_handle_reconfig_failure is called and marks all interfaces as not-in-driver (will be fixed in a different patch). 7. mac80211 frees the links of the BSS connection but doesn't tell the driver about that, as it thinks that this vif is not in the driver. 8. in ieee80211_stop_device, *ALL* wiphy works are getting flushed (erroneously?) 9. Therefore, async_handlers_wk is being executed, processing the statistics notification that was received after we restored the BSS connection. 10. the notification handler dereferences fw_id_to_bss_conf[id], which is now a dangling pointer, as mac80211 already freed this link in (7). 11. On the first access to one of the links fields, we panic. While this can and should be fixed by removing the call to ieee80211_handle_reconfig_failure in (6), it is also not a good idea to carry and maybe handle notifications from a dead FW. We do purge the notifications when we stop the FW, but in reconfig failure we stop the FW too late, after the notifications are processed. In addition, async_handlers_wk can always be scheduled before the reconfig work. Purge the notifications immediately when transport notifies about a nic error. | ||||

| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: driver core: Avoid warning when removing a device while its supplier is unbinding During driver removal, the following warning can appear: WARNING: CPU: 1 PID: 139 at drivers/base/core.c:1497 __device_links_no_driver+0xcc/0xfc ... The topology in terms of consumers/suppliers used was the following (consumer ---> supplier): i2c -----------> OIC ----> PCI device | ^ | | +---> pinctrl ---+ When the PCI device is removed, the OIC (interrupt controller) has to be removed. In order to remove the OIC, pinctrl and i2c need to be removed and to remove pinctrl, i2c need to be removed. The removal order is: 1) i2c 2) pinctrl 3) OIC 4) PCI device In details, the removal sequence is the following (with 0000:01:00.0 the PCI device): driver_detach: call device_release_driver_internal(0000:01:00.0)... device_links_busy(0000:01:00.0): links->status = DL_DEV_UNBINDING device_links_unbind_consumers(0000:01:00.0): 0000:01:00.0--oic link->status = DL_STATE_SUPPLIER_UNBIND call device_release_driver_internal(oic)... device_links_busy(oic): links->status = DL_DEV_UNBINDING device_links_unbind_consumers(oic): oic--pinctrl link->status = DL_STATE_SUPPLIER_UNBIND call device_release_driver_internal(pinctrl)... device_links_busy(pinctrl): links->status = DL_DEV_UNBINDING device_links_unbind_consumers(pinctrl): pinctrl--i2c link->status = DL_STATE_SUPPLIER_UNBIND call device_release_driver_internal(i2c)... device_links_busy(i2c): links->status = DL_DEV_UNBINDING __device_links_no_driver(i2c)... pinctrl--i2c link->status is DL_STATE_SUPPLIER_UNBIND oic--i2c link->status is DL_STATE_ACTIVE oic--i2c link->supplier->links.status is DL_DEV_UNBINDING The warning is triggered by the i2c removal because the OIC (supplier) links status is not DL_DEV_DRIVER_BOUND. Its links status is indeed set to DL_DEV_UNBINDING. It is perfectly legit to have the links status set to DL_DEV_UNBINDING in that case. Indeed we had started to unbind the OIC which triggered the consumer unbinding and didn't finish yet when the i2c is unbound. Avoid the warning when the supplier links status is set to DL_DEV_UNBINDING and thus support this removal sequence without any warnings. | ||||
| CVE-2026-97412 | 1 Linux | 1 Linux Kernel | 2026-10-01 | 5.5 Medium |
| In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved: pds_core: quiesce DMA before freeing resources pdsc_teardown() frees DMA buffers but does not disable bus mastering, leaving the device able to perform DMA after the buffers are freed. This can lead to use-after-free if the device writes to freed memory. Add pci_clear_master() to pdsc_teardown() to disable bus mastering before freeing resources, ensuring all DMA is quiesced. Add pci_set_master() to pdsc_setup() to re-enable bus mastering, which is needed for the firmware recovery path since pdsc_teardown() now disables it. | ||||
